He's [Poor language removed]! Heitinga and Jagielka HAVE to start CB together.

Do you ever back up your arguments, or is an exclamation mark supposed to suffice?

I'd love to see Heitinga partner Jagielka if only to have Fellaini in his rightful position! I've been a little critical towards Jags for a couple of games, despite his great positioning, reading and last ditch tackles I thought he was being pulled out of position to easily and his passing was letting him down. But i've since thought it's maybe a lack of confidence and communication with Distin. Howard seems to be forever gesticulating with Distin over communication issues. Maybe if Heitinga was left footed we wouldn't be debating this.

Don't worry about Felli, mate. He only played there today because we were very short on options. I did think it was still silly, but to be fair, he did put himself about a lot and won a lot of balls.

I'd like to see the Yak starting now though, with Timmy replacing Felli in the second striker role.

Heitinga stated he is a centre back mate, and got to a World Cup final playing in that position. He is a much better option for centre half and Jagielka is a better option than Distin so the science is to put them together. Good players gel, lets start that process rather than having to persist with waiting for Distin to place my heart in my mouth weekly. Or piss me off.

Agreed on Coleman mate, although Hibbert didn't do too bad today I'd still much prefer him there.

I'm not doubting Heitinga's ability. Nor that CB is his best position. I'm just saying he's comfortable in both positions, and Distin isn't really comfortable at LB.

Anyway, if Moyes made the decision to put them together right now, I personally wouldn't mind. Assuming Heitinga doesn't mind taking orders, instead of giving them, I think they could well gel indeed. I'm glad to have Jags back as the first name on the team sheet though. For a second I was worried he wouldn't recover from the injury fully.

Yeah mate I know and Fellaini did a fantastic job for us today as he always does. I just think Moyes is desperate to accomodate both players, hopefully it's not at the expense of the Fellaini and Arteta partnership. You play your best players in their best positions and Fellaini's only second to Essien in the league for me.

He's been leaving Heitinga on the bench mate, and subbing him on later. He has been playing Felli in his best position, so like I said, don't worry. And Essien? Bah. Mofro's the best in the world ;-)

I would agree that Distin has been good (aside from today) but Heits can be GREAT. Good is the enemy of great as they say. Just because Distin is good that doesn't mean he can't be replaced by a great CB.

Remember watching him at pompey a couple of times wondering why there was such interest in such a poor centre half, i.e. Villa and even returning to Shitty , then in we came and signed him :@.

One of the poorest centre halves wev had in recent years and in my opinion wev just let a far better one out on loan.

Its got to be Johnny and Jags at the back, just praying that Moyes is of the same thinking.

No, I agree, he really is [Poor language removed] and needs getting rid of, but I just saw that and wanted to use it.

However, Heitinga's performances are hardly warranting a place in the side either. I think moyes should at least try the Jagielka-Heitinga thing though, with Bilyaletdinov playing AM in the same game preferably.
