Too much is made of that back pass. Loads of rewriting history and saying we were cruising in that game, Andy Caroll had just missed a header from 6 yards out, the usual Everton bottle job was well underway, we never came back out after half time, even so the goal was only an equaliser, we still had about half an hour to beat a poor RS team using a third choice keeper, it’s not like he gave them a last minute winner.

A solid defender for us who also got robbed of a perfectly good winner at anfield when the ref blew up for nothing.

What's the milk man reference?
Loved this silver top?

Love the Milkman. Fastest centre half I've ever seen play for us (granted there's not a great deal of competition!), it was always reassuring that if someone got down the side of him there was always a very good chance that he'd get back to them.

I remember he brought the ball out from the back once at speed, late on in a game to waste time. Opponents couldn't keep up or bounced off him.

Loved the milkman, was quite the sight seeing him catch up from 5 yards behind someone he was so rapid

I also remember that his legs fell off seemingly overnight. Once season he was boss and lightning, then summer, then he was about as fast as Hibbert

A sad end
