We have to concentrate in EPL and Europa so I could not care less about the Mickey Mouse Cup. Perhaps we shall give the reserve players a chance to claim a spot in the first team.

Robles

Browning Alcaraz Distin Oviedo

Besic Gibson

Atsu Osman Pienaar

Eto'o

Subs: Hibbert, Kone, Garbutt, Galloway, McAleny, Stanlek, Long.

Injured: Barkley.

Is this going to be broadcast anywhere? Can't find it listed on an US channels.

Unusually for the League cup there is lots of Satellite stations broadcasting it. A list can be found here

For anyone unable to watch it live, @BrianSwan will be brodcasting a highlights show on his youtube channel after the game has finished.

Due to copyright restrictions, @BrianSwan will re-enact all the action on his Subbuteo table wearing his ma's underwear, you all know the ones, most of you are familiar with his ma ,and are admirers of her work at Cardiffs number knocking shop. Sadly due to his ma running out of ping pong balls, she has had to borrow Brians set of Argentina 78 Adidas tango replica subbuteo balls, but Brian has improvised and will be using a rolled up bit of used tin-foil that provided him with last nights fix. Way to go Brian don't lose it reuse it!!!

We will all be amazed at Swansea City's silky smooth passing football, and their number 10 will be one to watch. He should be easy to spot due to him missing a head, which has really improved his centre of gravity. It will be a great leveller for both sides too, as Swanseas keeper will also be unable to catch the ball due to it being twice the size of him, and him having a stick jammed into his ringpiece. Ours can't catch the ball due to his name being Robles, which is Spanish for Butterfingered Texan.

I will be avoiding the Radio, and the internet during the game , as the highlights show promises to be a belter. No doubt i'll see some of you in the longest queue in Cardiff, dodging flying subbuteo balls and Fanny batter bullets.

I only half agree.

This might be our best hope of getting in Europe this season!

I was at that game...Howard's return. Remember him going on afterwards about how good our right back looked (Ray Atteveld, though he didn't know his name yet). Strange how a new manager can bring such a different perspective on things...and that it doesn't last...

From memory it was still Colin Harvey mate.

Joel
Browning Galloway Distin Garbutt
Besic Gibson
Atsu Kone Oviedo
Eto'o

Osman Pienaar McGeady off the bench.

Think these players deserve a chance, especially the full backs and Besic.

Having said that I wouldn't mind the back four getting game time to gel. Silly keep changing it. I know Seamus is out so many play Browning at RB with Stones and Jagielka at centre half.

I'll be tempted to treat myself to a small sweet sherry if we win this cup. As long as we do well in the league. At the moment, its only importance is to try and get a bit of self belief back before Saturday's horror.

It would be really lovely if Everton's senior citizens could finish their Horlicks before they take to the pitch.

I think it will be

Joel
Hibbert
Alcaraz
Distin
Garbutt
Atsu
Besic
Gibson
McGeady
Naismith
Eto'o

Though I wouldn't be surprised to see him start Stones, Mccarthy, Mirallas and Pienaar of fit.

Would be great if Oviedo and Kone were close to making the squad

I'll be on a 3 week bender!
