P.S. Oh yeah Everton 4-1 today, think we cut them apart on the counter after going 1-0 up early on, Lukaku to take apart a overated ashley williams, a flukey pen their only consolation

Michu is out for them isn't he? that Bony will score though because he is actually awful.

Late fitness test i think for michu mate i think, and yeah got the horrible feeling that bony will score too, hopefully wont matter though as we tonk them all over the park ;)

All about the first goal today IMO. However I would say Swansea have been a bit poor this season in general. Maybe Europe league taking it out of them. Still tricky game but one I feel we must win along with the Sunderland game leaving Southampton as not a bad result if we then only drew (good team them)

Gota go bloody Xmas shopping today to finish all the tricky family gifts, it's gonna be rammed! The mrs is such a Slow coach around town so dragging her there from 9am. She will have a moaning, misserable whinger of a bloke if she drags her feet today!!!

Michu is doubtful with an ankle problem and Angel Rangel is banned but Leon Britton and Chico Flores should return.

Everton welcome back midfielder James McCarthy after a one-match ban.

Gerard Deulofeu is out for at least six weeks with a hamstring injury, while Leighton Baines could make his comeback against Sunderland on Boxing Day.

Seamus Coleman's goal last weekend means Everton defenders have contributed seven Premier League goals this season - a division high, prior to this weekend.

The Toffees have lost just one of their 16 Premier League games this season. In the top five European leagues, only Bayern Munich and AS Roma have better records.

Everton are one of three clubs yet to win a Premier League penalty this season, along with Newcastle and Cardiff.

The photo of Laudrup is really confusing me...is the goal photoshopped????

Everton to score more goals than Swansea and will therefore win

Swansea, for me, are not as strong as they were last season; with the looming Europa League over their shoulders, you can see clearly that fatigue and tiredness from their midweek ventures has affected their Premiership campaign so far.
Laudrup's philosophy is similar to Martinez; distribute the ball wisely and allow your midfielders, at the core of your team,to dictate the tempo and speed of the game and frustrate the opposition. Up front, Michu faces a fitness test I believe so they may play the false no.9 but I think the danger men lie out wide; Dyer sustained a nasty knock against Norwich, meaning Routledge and Hernandez will probably start and both possess great pace and energy and can put in some dangerous balls into the area. It will be interesting to see how Ovideo copes against the speed that they have in abundance and whether he can pinpoint the vulnerable Tiendalli at right back, who seems to struggle against any winger he's pitted up against.

Ben Davies, for me, is Baines' replacement, should he depart to OT and should Ovideo's form decline. On the overlap he is dangerous and he's a physical lad, who gets himself in and amongst the game and it will be interesting to see whether Mirallas is preferred to Osman or vice versa; does Roberto go with out and out speed or someone who can physically outmuscle him? I'd plump with Mirallas, primarily because against Swansea you have to be efficient and effective with the ball and take your opportunities from the possession they give you in. In previous years, we'd have to confront a wall of white spraying the passes left to right, but this year, with our new philosophy and approach, I'm sure the statistics will be even if not in our favour.

Making the most of the ball is very important today; Swansea are no slouches and they will create good chances from driving runs from the likes of Shelvey and Britton. We have to finish our opportunities; I can see us either easing past them or scraping a draw.
COYB!!
Howard
Seamus Distin Jags Oviedo
McCarthy Barry
Mirallas Barkley Pienaar
Lukaku
Is what I'd go for. come on everton!!
