There really should be a retrospective review of events such as Silva's acting (which sees a resulting goal) which bans perpetrators for a game. Referees are not supposed to be casting agents.

Think Roberto has instilled an attitude in the team which was not there under Moyes - a belief that they are the footballers we know they are - you are right about the mental side but so far I think he has been spot on ..enjoying a different kind of Prem season so far - perhaps it will not happen this year but progress has been made .. we appear to have no fear ...At Last !!

I think you are correct mate, and as I said, tomorrows performance will define

One game at a time ..think you are right I will risk 2 -0 for us ..strangely all the RS fans where i work are now expecting us to get 9 points from the next 3 games ..makes a change - they can't wait to see us fail ..Ha Ha of course as we do them

Really really need to win tomorrow. 2 games in 2 days next week will see squad rotation and we need to pick up total pts going into the new year. Don't think Swansea are anywhere near as good as they were last season and we beat them 3-0 last time out. Same again please Everton.

is right mate. only with 5/6 games to go do games really become must win. unless you're in dire straight at the bottom of the league. a draw would still see us 5th and still only 5pts off top, not exactly must win.

I disagree. Our last 6 games are Arsenal, Sunderland, Man United, Southampton, Man City, Hull. With this so called 'easy' run in we've got now we need to make the most of it and take maximum points. A win won't define our season, but it would help us a lot in the long run and put us 2 points off top going into christmas.

One game at a time lads, let's start with 3 point tomorrow.

An opportunity to go 2 points from the top, albeit it could change on Monday.

Now isn't the time to get a nose bleed. Now is the time to show we deserve to be up there and play like we have been, tomorrow. Do that and we will win.

i didn't mean specifically us. I meant in the grand scheme of things for every team, with the exception of certain circumstances of course

This will be a tough game, away at Swansea is never easy despite our good record there under Moyes. After last nights results we simply have to win this one.

For Everton this match is an opportunity to show how far we have come.
Usually, the teams that are top 4 on the table after 19 rounds finish in top 4.
Given a few of the teams currently above on the table are facing each other there's every chance we will be in there.

Whilst Champions League is a long term goal, we can already see that the team that is currently working towards that goal is one that is capable of reaching it.
Performances against the 'big' teams is one part of what it takes. Being able to win big like against Fulham and Stoke is another. Beating teams like Newcastle, Swansea and Southampton, teams just behind us, is another important piece.

Even if Everton finish outside of Champions League places, which is still likely, we are doing all the right things and Martinez has already shown that his team has what it takes to challenge given time.
Beat Swansea, and then Southampton, and we are genuinely good enough for top 4 now.

Beating Swansea and Southampton means nothing mate. Spending £20m in January is the be all and end all, prosaic but true.

Quality stuff, Chico!
Acknowledgment: I have a Welsh Terrier in my own house, but it dosen´t help. COYB!!

I've got a 11 year old pitbull girl mate, every everton game she sits their wearing my home top watching the game with us, its like having my very own james mccarthy in the room with me :)
