Really surprised with that result, only just got in and saw it, very pleased. Hearing Pienaar was great again, as well as Gibson, who'd of thought we'd see Everton play a through ball?

We really closed them down and didn't let them play their passing game for the most part. Pienaar was outstanding, and played one of his best games in a Blue shirt IMO.

Baines was as good as always, and Jelavic should have had two, Stracq should have had one. Could have been 4 or 5 nil.

I was worried about Jagielka coming in, but he was brilliant. Especially in the first half he made some crucial interventions.

Gibbo coming back in showed how much we missed him. Solid performance. I thought Tiny Tim did a very good job as well following Britton as well.

Hopefully this will get us back our momentum, as this is one of the toughest grounds to play at in the Premier League. We will need to play this well at the Stadium of Light.

I didnt want him to go. But the ****house board didnt want to pay him what HE wanted. Chelsea didnt either.

And he shouldve known he wouldnt get a sniff over Bale, Modric, Van Der Vaart etc.

So you'd want us to pay up to £5million to get him back? 30 years old. No resale value. 2 season at the most out of him.Thinking about it logically, its not financially worth it IMO unless Spurs give us him back for the same or a little bit more than what we sold him for. Which wont happen.Need to move on and try something new.

It'll be a very different match on Tuesday though. Swansea let you play...and we'll have to be prepared for a war against Sunderland.

He was solid from the start. Had forgot what he was about. I hated when we were first linked with him but now I'm glad to have him. I guess we are still unbeaten with him playing?

It's good to see Gibson getting some plaudits and people can see what he offers to us. He played really well today, a few through balls didn't come off, but at least he was trying them.

Really impressed with Jelavic again, he works really hard up there. He seems to be trying to do all the right things, with some things not working, but it will be much better the more he plays and gets used to us.
