Doesnt Sound as if a return is on Moyesys mind:

"They were great for me.

"Faddy was one of my early signings from Motherwell and I enjoyed having him around.

"Cars was already here but he became a stalwart for us and we were delighted to have him.

"He was someone we all enjoyed and obviously his goal against Liverpool a few years ago will always be well remembered!

"I hope the two of them are back and we can see them because they are two great lads.

"They were both really good professionals, always worked hard at their game.

"But there came a time for both to move on. It was done in the right manner and hopefully they will come to Everton and remember it fondly."

As much as I admire Super Lee Carsley, I think buying him is out of the question completely. He is getting on a bit now and would not make the same impact as he did in his time at Goodison. Gravesen was never the same after coming back here.

It would be an awful idea to be honest. He did a good job for us and I'll always respect him but I was glad when he moved on, it was the right way to go for Everton football club.

Our football improved dramatically when he left and the centre midfielders (Neville and Arteta) took on far more responsibility. Carsley was a good defensive shield but he offered nothing in possession, nor would he even make himself available for the defenders which made the hoofball even worse.

And he's also way past his best, a Championship level player now.

Love the guy & I'd take him back in an instant due to his experience & professionalism. He wouldn't keep many players out of the team but with an injury list as bad as ours he's get on the pitch from time to time. He'd also be great to have around the club for his attitude to training etc & his ability to generally be a funny [Poor language removed].

It's not going to happen though

one of his kids has autism etc and he goes to a specialist school in Birmingham. One of the reasons he moved was to be nearer to his family. Met him when I was living in Solihull , a great bloke..so down to earth.

RT he raises so much money for those charities he should get an OBE or similar, Lee Carsley.....Mr Genuine

What a joke this thread is. Carsley was not that good as Ghost stated.
Want him back no way.

Robert, go have a word with yourself and come back when you're prepared to have a rational discussion.

Carsley was an outstanding servant for Everton and a good player for us. Hence the disappointment from the vast majority of Evertonians upon learning of his transfer to Birmingham.

Joke thread?

I don't think so.

It is to be honest, wanting a player back who can't even get into the Birmingham side and wouldn't improve us in any area.

It is a joke when insulting a highly respected former player. Hardly anyone has said they'd want him back but why should that make us think less of him?

This. I hope one day he comes back in some capacity, maybe a coach

Who's insulted him?

Alot of fans didn't rate him whilst he was here, I don't see the problem to be honest.
