Super Van, should he play longer and more often?

With us being stripped bear, Osman being [Poor language removed] as per usual.

Shall we let Andy van der Meyde play?

The last two games he's looked immense when coming on.

no , let him get few minutes in each game till he picks up confidence and fitness.

but then again if he plays well and trains well he should have just as much chance of getting into the team as anyone.

I don't think he'd last the full 90, but I've been saying for a while, about 18 sodding months, that Moyes should be using VDM. I think that now we'll see some more of him.

He has done ok and nothing more, just an extra fresh body to bring on near the end of games.

I know we'd all love it if he finally came good and became the best player in the world but it ain't gonna happen.

But if he can keep plugging away and showing Moyes what he can do and take his chances when he comes on good.

If not no loss.

Cameo appearances are fine for now. Let him build up fitness and regain the discipline required to function in a Moyes team. If he passes all of those tests then he'd be a fine addition to the starting lineup.

I'm not taking anything away from him, just not jumping on the bandwagon that he has somehow made up for all these years after 2 ok but nothing more sub appearances.

I'd love it if he did have a run of appearances where he showed some of the old magic and helped the team, but he's got a long way to go yet.

As I have said time and time again, and people have joked... but technically, the lad wipes the floor with the rest of our midfield.

If we can get him playing with intent then it can only be a good thing for us.
