I'm getting to the point where I'd really rather us keep a clean sheet at some point.

I don't see it happening against them so I'll go with a 1-1 draw.

We haven't had a clean sheet for ages. When was the last time we had a league shut out?
I can't even remember.

I'm not expecting a clean sheet. Unless we put nappies on all of them, one of our little boys is going to wet the bed at some stage. Might be another goal fest ala Stamford Bridge. 4-3 to one of the two.

A Mackem-supporting mate consistently tells me Jones is overrated, and has only looked like he's bothered on a handful of occasions. Bent is good, but their team is on a poor run after getting some inflated expectations because of a couple of scalps.

Our main problem is the midfield battle: Cattermole (their most important player IMO) and Cana will be starting together for the first time in a while. They will fight for every ball so we need to be composed and smart in midfield, and more importantly, up for it.

Comes down to pride and passion. Confidence will be a tad low. But as i said in another thread , if certain decisions went for us yesterday , the mood would have been one of optimism.

1 - 2 to us

Without doubt I expect us to get a result here............especially if Turners red card isn't overturned

Ughhhhh....that makes for some depressing reading.

I remember when we used to throw up a clean sheet just about every other match with

..............Howard............

Hibbert....Jags....Lescott...Baines

...............Neville...............

We'll we're missing three of those six players and two of them due to return.

So, the sooner we see Jags and Neville back, the better.

I think someone is going to be on the end of a hiding from us soon, think this may be a draw - but a good victory is on the way.

Id settle for a clean sheet here!

agreed. i get that feeling that we are going to spank a team.

we won quite easily last season with pienaar on form, but we have enough in the locker to beat these.
