Frustrating. By far the better team but no cutting edge as is far too often the case.

Btw, when was the last time Lukaku scored a header? I'm sure he did it plenty of times for West Brom and a few times for us too, he scored a couple of belter headers for us. Remember him busting a gut to head home vs West Brom and knocking himself out in the process?!

Terrible half. Sadly we have allowed it to become a scrap lowering our game to their level. Gomez should not be on the pitch, the little stain. Ref has been a joke as per :(

Get Barkley playing through the centre in the 2nd half. Give Eto'o 15 mins on the left and if it doesn't come off then put Osman or Atsu on the left.

Shows how key Barry is to Baines and Coleman getting forward.

We've just not had the cutting edge yet, we need to get more players in the box. Eto'o's got into the area maybe once or twice.

Gibson done fine, but Barry pops up in those little pockets of space.

As expected playing Barkley on the left isn't working. We have three very decent options behind the striker but we got to stop trying to fit them all in at the same time.

If we manage to move us a gear we should have too much for these but I don't know if we will manage it second half.

this game is here for the taking, but i think we need to make an attacking change, the structure just doesn't work. nobody seems to know where they're playing and as a result haven't seen baines at all.

eto'o is stuck in centre mid, lukaku seems to be stuck on the left, then ross goes through the centre and we're continually having to take long shots on, despite some of our build-up being brilliant.

mason has utterly bottled it though, should be a different game - he even stuck his arm out to give the free kick, then realised he'd have to give the red so played on.

and yet nobody has mentioned it, every commentator and pundit has said good decision.

There can be no excuses and for anyone who thinks their can be take a look at this thread from 12:30 onwards when the team was released, we have only beat rubbish teams this season Burnley and Villa and West brom all of which we scored early, no early goal and thats us done the way we play

We have been disgraceful in the league this season, too many changes to the team every week, too many square pegs in round holes.

Injuries are a nightmare atm, mirallas will still be out for another 3 weeks or so, stones about 6-7 weeks and barry looks minimum 8 weeks
