Poor luck for Everton? I'm usually pretty cynical about new managers having an immediate effect on things, but I remember thinking that we'd batter Southampton after they fired Adkins, but the new manager started them well against us, and Saints have been on a run of good form ever since that draw. Three weeks ago, I would have been thrilled to play Sunderland; now, after seeing how Sunderland have played the past couple of matches--like they actually know where the goal is--I'm worried we're going to run into another team like Saints who are either playing for their jobs or have found belief in the new boss. Either way, it'll be a handful for us.

Sunderland 1 - 2 Everton, with both Everton goals early and a very tense second half.

I am going for 2-0 or 2-1 win for us,i am not buying this di canio effect on us,Unbeaten home and away in league and cup since 2001 v them -we are there bogey side it seems,teams are always up for impressing the new boss as best as they can 1st off and the win v the toon who are rubbish was off course a derby were most things can happen [unless its everton at anfield lol]-think and hope as always that we will win,but that 12 year unbeaten record is there to be broken and it will be at sometime but not tomorrow for me.
