Like I have said for sometime. I hope one major signing for midfield and the rest can be squad players that would be fine with me.

We have only lost Cars isn't good enough we saw that last year how our bench looked pretty desperate last season as the season wore on.

Necessity is the mother of invention and the time is a hand and so on so on. Warm bodies please.

There's 10 days left!!!!! And another couple of weeks till the window closes on the 31st of August. We will have players in by then. All you hear is - "We need players, we need them in early to gel" They've a whole season of 60 odd games to gel!

If it's all the same, I'd rather not have a [Poor language removed] Augest / September while the lads are getting bedded in, we've done well when we've started the season on a flyer.

The kids have come in and shown promise against lower league and MLS side (no offence to MLS intended), but they haven't given the impression that they are ready to be flung headlong into competitive Premiership matches.

As has been said above, we're fine if we put out our best 11, but as Kenada Blue observed, we've 60 games ahead of us, some serious numbers need to come in if we are to sustain a challenge over the full duration of the season and progress from where we are now.

See, and now I'm all depressed again..

It's spot on to be honest, good honest report of our current team. Good up and coming team but we lack strength in depth.

Yes we only lost Carsley but we also lost alot of squad players who contributed. Players like Stubbs, Fernandes and McFadden who played 10 plus games whereas players like Johnson and Carsley who played 30-40 games.

I don't see how there saying where [Poor language removed], just prediacting we'll finish lower because we've signed [Poor language removed] all. I'd say with the current squad 8th would be hard to get considering we have the Uefa cup to deal with.

If we had signed players before the article had been written I'm sure it would have been different, hopefully we'll suprise them and pull a few signing out the bag.

Some will deny it mate, but i am with you on this.

Yeah I [Poor language removed] will. I don't think we are a shambles, we are one first team player down from last season, and I have no reason to believe we won't sign someone this week.

I'm sick of people bitching and moaning about my club. Its the way it is, and there is nothing you can do, so instead of constantly looking at the bad side of things, have a look at the positives, because they are there.

I feel sorry for Arteta, Yak, Jags, Lescott, Peanuts, Osman, Vaughan etc... They must read these forums and think, [Poor language removed] me, what a bunch of moaning pain in the arses.

Name me one team that is around us that have substantially improved their first eleven!

My, you do have a temper on you, dont you. Do you think you would be able to master the art of arguing with yourself in an empty room, preferably a padded one:lol:(y)

But the point is, is that whoever we get in by the 16th we wont have a [Poor language removed] August/September. We maybe not have a great one, but form counts for nothing really in those few weeks -- look at Manure last year, couldnt win a game for weeks.

There's no point starting off amazing, have your game sussed and dissappear by Febuary, like we did last year. Pienaar took weeks to get a full game, Jags was awful as a DM and didnt show his worth till Yobo buggered off the the African Cup of nations-- even Yak had a few weeks finding his feet (1 goal in 5 I think).

But everything worked out. We need depth is the only thing I'm worried about.

Just getting on my nerves all this constant Everton bashing. If its not the Chairman, its the manager, if its not him its the Captain. Christ, Yak even got a slagging off in his first 2 weeks at the club.

Its pathetic, and childish.

Sorry, but its really grinding me down.

I think we are all a bit tetchy atm, roll on Blackburn! Then we can all agree on something "WE GONNA WIN THE LEAGUE!!!"

They don't though.

Dont let it mate. There will always be someone being blamed for something or another, thats how these forums keep ticking over, that is the nature of us Football fans. It is getting on my nerves a touch, but i like to hear differences of opinions. Yours are particularly interesting(y)

Well I happen to know more than the average fan fortunately. I have been told that things are happening, and I also know how hard people are working to get things done. Its not easy running a football club, yet there are so many people here who believe they can do a better job.

Or maybe its just that as a race of people British are a bunch of complainers. I know from working in the catering industry how true that is.
