He's got nothing mate, absolutely nothing. They all hate him for a very good reason.

Of the teams which might go down, I'd take a punt on/rate:

Fulham - Kasami, Dejagah, Riether
Cardiff - Caulker, Medel, Mutch
Sunderland - Johnson
Palace - Pass
West Brom - Yacob, Morrison, Berahino
Norwich - Ruddy, Snodgrass, Redmond
Swansea - Vorm, Williams, Michu, Bony, Davies, Lita (lol).

Only players i'd take are:
Mulumbu
Berahino
Bony
Caulker
Ki

Internet links to Bony of Swansea during the week and I like him anyway and think for his first season he's done well but today he's played really well and looks every bit the kind of striker we need next season!

He comes deep to take the ball and holds it up well and brings others into play, he goes in behind and gets into the 6 yard box, he's an handful for defenders, he's strong, quick and knows where the net is.

He's got a bit of everything and I'd definitely give Swansea around £15m for him if I was manager.

they only just bought him for £13m, we'd be looking at £20m just to tempt them. he would have been great here, but moyes messed it all up and well the ship has sailed for now imo. we could do better with the kind of fee he's command.

berahino i'd love to see here btw, think he has great potential.

1. why on earth would any evertonian wanna ell barkley for any amount of money?
2. why on earth do you think a player who can leave on a free in the summer we should pay 25m for and why would we have a chance on earth when city are after him as well?

1. Because he has a value, and 35 million pounds could be put to better use in the here and now, rather than waiting three years or so to see if Barkley justifies his current hype.

2. Because he can't leave on a free this Summer, and 25million pound is his release clause, and because I can't see City paying that for him.

Fair doe's had the impression from somewhere that he was running his contract out, but the point on barkley mate is baffling, cashing in on potentially the best player this clubs produced in 30 years...

Potentially.

I don't think we'd be getting robbed with a 35million pound sale, it would be about right, with the buying club risking whether he will realise that potential.

Thats like saying the rs should have sold gerrard at 21-22 mate, sorry but i'd rather take the chance that we will have a local lad whose world class playing for us for the next decade, and even if the potential doesnt reach that height, we end up with a top class mid instead of world class one, theirs no risk involved

The RS are a totally different kettle of fish mate, I don't think it makes much sense to compare our situation with their's.

I'm not gagging to sell Barkley. I'm just stating that I think 35 million pound would be adequate compensation, and that it could be spent on other individuals who may have a greater impact on the team.

[QUOTE="mkrudden, post: 2595647, member: 13 Wow, mature reply.

I was genuinely interested in why you think he's very poor, this being a forum and all.

I watch football too mate, and I think Danny Welbeck would suit one of our wide positions perfectly. He's brilliant at stretching the play, holds the ball up well and is absolutely terrific at defending from the front. I've lost count of the amount of times he wins the ball off an opposing centre midfielder and then plays a simple pass to start an attack which he is involved with because of his stamina.

He's not prolific so I don't think he's shat we should be looking for as our next CF but he could certainly offer us something up there if we needed to be flexible during a tough game or we had a spate of injuries.

And FYI, generally people can't be wrong on forums like this buddy because it's all opinion based. Chill out, get debating properly and enjoy yourself.

Either that or bore off.

Great result today blues!!!
What we need his a prolific goalscorer, so you want to buy him and play him out wide or accept that he won't be what we need?? Either way it'll be a waste of money; if you want to play him out wide then all you really need his a a pacey winger, thats what really stretchers play. Defenders become scared and are frightened of being caught behind, not an over peiced over hyped centre forward

He has no skill and his very clumsy with the ball. His control, for a professional footballer is awful, he's not a natural finisher.

and please don't gice me pointers on how to act on a forum[/QUOTE]

Mate I think the poster to whom you replied was expecting a more reasoned response (just like the one of yours I have quoted).

We welcome good debate but not pointless arguments.

Thanks

Swansea - Michu, Bony ,Shelvey

ones in capitals are ones i'd reckon would be a run in our team as first team/rotation, others maybe as back up or players for the future, Shelvey despite coming for the red [Poor language removed] impresses me each time he plays for Swansea

We cannpt sell potential stars, need to keep them and hope we get Into champs league.
