Wharton is the ideal profile, age, ability and upside potential that we should be after.

The only thing would be what other clubs come in for him, unless due to there being 8+ in demand this summer, he misses the cut.

I'm not sure who the equivalent CF would be so for me i'd prioritise Wharton. We need to build the team before a superstar CF could be attracted.

Same goes for us, theres a few of them available so hopefully we push the boat out, I'd prefer one of Wharton, Scott or Gray.
Do we need Wharton if we have Garner?

My point was more that theres 8 premier league midfielders potentially moving this summer and it would be good if we could bring one of them in.

Another poster messaged about Wharton. But yes, Wharton is top quality and can anchor the midfield reading the game and dictating the play.

Something which we dont have.

Whatever we do, do not go in for Delap. We should not be putting more money into our rivals' hands for their crap failed signings.

The team at Everton have had a whole season to see what's needed up top and what kind of striker will best suit us—there is no excuse for a lazy approach that would be an expensive gamble on a player that's looked awful this season.

Do whatever we can to ensure we start next season with JOB and JB as our starting centre backs. No reason at all why both wouldn't be fully fit and ready to go in August.

Tarkowski and Keane able backups for next season.

Bring in two new full backs with pace.

Sign a top quality striker.

Forget about anything other than £15m and £100k a week for Grealish.

Hand the armband to Dewsbury-Hall.

We literally only need 3-4 players brought in. The problem is we're so poor in the areas where we're lacking it's cost us a very achievable Europa League place this season.

Non-negotiable outs:
Coleman — release
Gueye — don't take up option
McNeil — £8-10m
Patterson — £2-3m
Alcaraz — £5-8m

To be decided outs:
Which one of Barry or Beto is sold. £20m or £10m respectively.
Probably Beto out due to Barry still having potential to improve.
Armstrong — loan
Aznou — loan or sell. 100% sell if we could get Diouf from West Ham/a proven quality left back, for example. No need for an up-and-comer then with Mykolenko in reserve.
Dibling — loan

Non-negotiable ins:
Left back
Right back
Striker proven and ready to start.
Striker up and coming.

Both strikers of a different profile to Beto and Barry.

To be decided ins:
Grealish — and whether it's good business to make him top earner at his age and on the back of his injury. Fee would need to be very minimal, not exceeding £20m for sure.
Right winger — if Dibling is loaned out. I'd prefer a player who can play across the line though.
George — is it worth a £20m gamble?
