Not to be a tit sorry, but Palace’s bid was widely reported as being 20m and don’t see how that would suddenly drop by a crazy amount. Don’t think it’s crazy we get something around that for him if a bid does come in.

Nah honestly you could put any striker in the league (apart from haaland and thiago) and they would have struggled the same as ours have most of this season. Saying that, Barry and Beto both have 8 goals each in half a season in terms of minutes played, would you take 16 goals from your striker in a season? Think most would. Improve other areas and think you'd see either getting double digits next season easily
One of them might get double figures this season with three games to go. I do think we need a new striker but the "awfulness" of our current duo is often overstated.
I really really disagree, our fullbacks offer absolutely nothing going forward, they are both ranked bottom of most metrics across Europe's top 6 leagues. We essentially attack with 2 less players. Obviously some of it is symptomatic of playing low block (slug CBs) but yeah fullbacks have needed addressing for about 4 years now
Yeah I'm not pretending Barry and Beto haven't had their fair share of sh*t games this season but it's so much harder when your stuck on an island battling 2 CBs most games feeding off scraps. I personally think Barry has shown some really good signs Infront of goal but does need to work on his physicality 100%
He needs to look at his workrate, too. My eldest comments to me all the time that Barry seems to wander around in a daze most of the time and I can't disagree with him. Last night, however, he looked much more tuned in, worked hard and got his rewards. We need to see more of that from him (and he could probably do with staying off the Socials!).
