Summer transfer window.

No to Andy Gray, Peter Reid, Paul Power, Peter Beardsley, Richard Gough and Gareth Barry too.
One or two players who are on the older side but clearly quality is fine, Grealish, for example, plus maybe one more, though hopefully not Soucek.

But we definitely need to avoid signing players with a poor injury record, who are also old. It's the type of signing we don't need to be making.

Moyes isn't interested in waiting for players to develop at this stage of his career. He'll be looking for older players. Which for the long term of the club is a bit of a worry. Hopefully those in the recruitment team can get him younger than I feel he'll want.

I think the compromise should be looking at 23/24 years from the Championship for at least some.
Moyes has a fantastic record of bringing players in at this age level. Be it the Jags, Cahill, Bowen. We have seen Eze, Olise plucked from there. Moyes wanted Morgan Rogers at West Ham.

Currently available the Azeez, Hackney, Fatawu, Albuieso, Creswell (Ligue 1) types. I am sure there are more. I am sure there are tempting riskier purchases like Atta. Basically he prefers battle hardened sorts that dont need to adapt and sit on the bench (Dibling clearly isnt battle hardened).

I dont mind up to 2 unfashionable signings. Just not too much. He was after Maguire (not a fan of the guy) and McTominay at West Ham....and whether we like them or not they are effective and offer leadership on the pitch.

Agree mate.

Mentioned Charlie Cresswell on here before. One to watch.

I like the thought of Hackey, Burrows, Cresswell and I'm sold on that Toure from Norwich. Just a hunch.
