Summer transfer window.

Sell: Barry, Beto, Alcaraz, McNeil
Loan: Dibling, Aznou
Release: Coleman, Mykolenko
Buy: Röhl, ST, ST, ST, RW, RB, LB

One of the strikers can certainly be in the up-and-coming category, just not a £30 million roll of the dice. Something like a £10 million player who has shown promise in the Championship or abroad over a full season and looks to have the character and temperament to fit into our squad.

Surely the club has learned you cannot go into a new season with a mere two options up front in the entire squad.

LB and RB need to be starters, alongside obviously one of the other new ST and the RW.

It's a shame we have a buy clause for Röhl because he's obviously not very good, but that's Everton for you.
You can't get Championship players for £10 million, need to look lower. Wolves got Mane from non league I think and he still cost £1 million.

An ideal backup forward would be someone like Ivanovic at Milwall, young, scores goals, happy to be rotated at Championship level so I doubt he would complain to the same at PL level but yes I agree I doubt you would get him for £10m, maybe £15-20m.

I would not write of Delap, get him playing consistently and I think he could be good for us, to be fair to him, he's not had a run of games this season .
I think he would thrive in our style of football and at the very least he can trap and control a ball ,not like the two clowns we have now.

Yep this, he is perfect for us and Moyes, he really is.

He started well at Chelsea till his early injury, and has struggled to get consistent mins, that's one of the profiles we need to be moving for.

If you really want to take a punt on lower league you should look at player kike Pepple and Tolaj at Plymouth.

I don't think either would hack it in the Premium but on the other hand I reckon both would be better than our current strikers and you probably pick them up for around £3-5 million.

A smart club might pick up a player like that as a back up to a far more established striker.

I will accept that he's better than our 2 strikers but it's an incredibly low bar.

We really need to be aiming higher than Liam Delap.

"Started well at Chelsea before he was injured"
He played 4 games before getting injured. 0 assists 0 goals.
Since returning from injury 17 games 0 assists 1 goal.

Do you think a striker playing in Chelsea's team will get more chances than an Everton striker?

I watched them first games with my eyes mate, and he was really good, he played that 9 well, and allowed those skillful players around him to play off him well, thats also what you want from a lone striker.

Football is not played on a spreadsheet.

"allowed those skillful players around him to play off him well" football is funny because I've always thought he's completely dreadful at that!

Just went and checked and in 800 league minutes this year he has not made ONE single pass that led to a chance or shot of any kind, ever. While surrounded by players like Estevao, Palmer, Joao Pedro, Fernandez, Garnacho. That is beyond tragic I have to say.

He has 4 assist.
