Fair enough I believe you!
I still don't get the mutual exclusivity between GAA and RS support though
😆
Why on earth would you believe him?

Why on earth would you believe him?

I don’t care who he supported tbh 😆 was just curious about how GAA has anything to do with it

If he was any good surely Chelsea would offer him an 8 yr contract , loan him to Strasbourg for a year and then sell him
Alonso will be wanting to see this lad before any decision is made. Someone has either just jumped on a contract timeline to get a rumour out, or the lad is deemed Surplus to requirements given how Chelsea do things.

Chelsea are a bit of a moneyball basket case when it comes to squad building
I think Alonso will have a lot more say over who comes in and who is sold
I’d expect a lot of comings and going’s at Chelsea this summer

I dunno

35 or 40m is a lot of money. It's bound to impact finances in at least some way.
It won't impact the financial machinations of SCR. It's also under appeal, so the cash won't be due until for a while, if it's due at all.

There's also almost certainly an indemnification in the purchase agreement so it may just pass through the club.

And did you look into Evertons profit and loss accounts during your spare time?

….ha, ha. Funny thing is, in the ‘60s we could go out and buy the MoM from a World Cup final. Money was no object back then but I don’t associate the mid ‘80s success being built on big bucks. Heath was an expensive purchase but there was so many inexpensive signings in that great team that gelled.

Lineker cost big bucks, but ironically we never won anything that season. Even lads who came in for the ‘87 title like Wayne Clarke and Paul Power were bargain basement. Bit of a contrast between 1970 and mid-80s in that regard.
