Summer transfer window.

Nobody did

I don’t think we were linked - just would have made sense to be in for him.

Not only were we in for him, Moyes specifically turned him down according to @Zatara

As much as I have issues with Moyes, let's not invent reasons to criticise him.

Yeah I’ve seen him very assertive on that and never really queried it. But yeah I literally can’t find one single jarg article even.

To repeat myself, it wasnt me who initially said Moyes had turned down Kayode.

I'm the one who wanted him well in advance of him moving to Brentford. No inside track on him.

But he was indeed turned down by Moyes according to others. In the first window, along with the two I know he turned down:

Truffert & Wesley.

Don't remember a link to Kayode but we definitely did turn down Truffert

He’s already knocked him back for us

Truffert & Wesley in that first window would have been massive for us and yet here we are.

Moyes entering window number FOUR with one left back signed who he's treated like poop.

Washed up manager cost us a good DOF in Thelwell.

Moyes usually tries to get someone of slightly higher quality than people expect, doesn't he. I'm trying to think if there are any players that the top clubs would consider selling that might initially seem out of our reach. I thought Savinho might have been one, but he's not really a Moyes type anyway.

There's bound to be someone.

He does, but theres usually a massive drawback to them and theyve no interest in playing for him.

….i notice when we won a few games unexpectedly and you were clearly very disappointed, to save face you referred to a ‘Moyes tactical masterclass’, suggesting he’s a ‘tactical master’, yet you continually contradict that.

Poor lad, still going on about Thelwell, who Rangers soon seen through. They came 3rd in a 2 horse race, he was quickly shown the exit door and is now looking after England U8s

It's interesting that there are no actual links to Kayode in that January 2025 thread. You posted about him a lot, but nothing about Everton having any links to him. Others also posted about him, but more as a FM style wishlist that any actual links.

There is a comment from @Nymzee specifically saying we aren't linked to him though.

I also was pretty well aware of Kayode, I watched him playing for Fiorentina in 2025, I remember you really liked him. But I can't remember you posting a single link to everton and I've done a quick check of everything you've posted about him on the forum.

I feel like I'm doing quite a lot of work to try and find any sort of link to Kayode to Everton, let alone anything saying Moyes turned him down.

You clearly wanted him and I think you're perhaps letting your squad builder fantasies get in the way of reality.
As for the last paragraph that’s basically the norm every window

The problem is, every time we win a game it's unexpected. That needs to change. I reckon it's at least 5 or 6 years since I went into a game expecting us to win.
