Likewise I'm not necessarily saying looking for height is bad, but there are several other attributes that should be considered before a players height. That shouldn't taken in isolation in me saying we just need big lads. We need better set piece coaching too, just that height and strength are currently more important than they've been in ages
I suppose that's where the difference between just being relatively tall and being good aerially comes in. The likes of McNeil, Garner, Iroegbunam, Mykolenko, even Grealish are quite tall which will make the average height look quite impressive but none of them are players you'd think of as being notably good in the air. In fairness to Moyes (speaking as someone who thinks he should be moved on) I would imagine he's just using the terms interchangeably and if he's said he wants more height he doesn't literally just mean someone 6ft, he means someone who's good in the air.Pretty sure we are already have the tallest average height or close to in the PL. Hasn't seemed to help us all that much.
He did? So thats why we have been crap all season, come back wee Charlie, you urine soaked little whopper! He left at the end of last season and hasn't been replaced.
Alot of things to get frustrated with but we were never in for Rayan.Rayan just bagged his first international goal.
The 19-year-old kid didn't even need time to adapt to the Premier League, and now he’s probably getting a lucky break because Estêvão picked up an injury.
The funny thing is, we were linked with him since last summer. But our tactical genius, David Moyes, turned his nose up at him because he was obsessed with getting players with Premier League experience.
Instead, we ended up signing Tyler Dibling and, surprise surprise, had absolutely no idea how to use him.
Seriously, what's the point of having a global scouting network if we’re just going to ignore them?
The funnier thing is, Bournemouth sold Semenyo to City and immediately replaced him with Rayan. They chucked him straight into the starting XI, rotated him a bit, no drama at all, and now the kid’s made it to the World Cup.
But the absolute funniest joke of it all? Bournemouth literally just typed "Semenyo-type player" into their database, three names popped up, and Rayan was number one. That was it. Job done.
Now, whenever they decide to sell him, they’re guaranteed to make double their money back.
Meanwhile, we’ve got Tyrique George on a 6-month loan and we’re still sitting on our hands, debating whether to buy him or not—even though the lad puts on a proper shift every single time he gets on the pitch... Classic Everton.
Definitely read something (from Boyland think it was) that suggested we had a look at him but didn’t want to risk it.Alot of things to get frustrated with but we were never in for Rayan.
Sure it wasn't a Ryanair advert you're getting mixed up with.
there's only one man for the jobHe left at the end of last season and hasn't been replaced.
Luckily for him we never followed up our interest.Definitely read something (from Boyland think it was) that suggested we had a look at him but didn’t want to risk it.
If ever a clubs transfer strategy needed a massive overhaul, it’s ours. Very low expectations this summer.
Could have learnt a lot watching McNeil.Luckily for him we never followed up our interest.
The thing here is, There is less players in world Football that haven't been linked with us than there is that have.Definitely read something (from Boyland think it was) that suggested we had a look at him but didn’t want to risk it.

Does he, though? JOB is massive but is pretty shocking aerially and gets selected over pretty much everyone else at RB. I think your argument is logical but I'm genuinely not sure with Moyes.I suppose that's where the difference between just being relatively tall and being good aerially comes in. As someone who has also read that forum for years, is there a reason that people on here that read it generally don't share the name?Someone on another forum which shall remain nameless seems certain that Wan-Bissaka is happening.
I'd be horrified if that turns out to be true.
It has all the hallmarks of a signing from the Koeman era - wrong age, huge wages, not good enough with very obvious flaws and we will never be able to get rid of him.
I don't even know which forum it is so there may be more specific reasons but just generally speaking I think there's an accepted etiquette to not 'advertise' other forums on the one you're using. As someone who has also read that forum for years, is there a reason that people on here that read it generally don't share the name?
I've always gone along with it and just refer to it as 'another forum' on here without really knowing why.
Alcaraz was just steady signing, George is exciting, no one would get excited by Alcaraz. George will have better options anyway than sitting on a bench behind Grealish all season.People said similar about Alcaraz this time last year
