I don't believe in Deulofeu as a Mirallas replacement. If Mirallas leaves, something I still hope doesn't happen I think there will be another winger brought in.
I think if we were left with gerry and mcgeady we would need 2 bringing in.
Gerry is still very raw and mcgeady plays a good 10 minutes every 3 months
Agreed, we currently have 3, I think ideally we should be looking at 4 for the season.
My thoughts exactly. Del in regardless. If Kev leaves, we'll see a playmaker and another winger. If Kev stays, probably just another playmaker.
On Del, if we can get it tied up this week I think it really shows that RM has identified the targets early and looking to integrate them in asap for pre-season. I'd imagine a CB will be the main priority now before July (that's if nobody leaves by then).
Suppose it depends whether you could count the elusive 'playmaker' as a winger when/if they come in. Martinez said he wanted someone in the Pienaar mould - and Pienaar's a winger, just a different kind of winger obviously. I really don't think RM is looking to bring in a 'No.10' who will play exclusively in the traditional No.10 position.
You see, im not even sure what Martinez said and what The Echo claim he has said.
Struggling to find any actual quotes from Martinez about his targets, but I THINK he said we would need players like Pienaar, a left winger who drifts inside and Osman, a number 10 who plays behind the striker.
But im not 100% sure.
As much as Mirallas is quality on his day, he doesnt have a lot of them, whether its injuries or he doesnt show up for 75 mins of certain games. If we can sign Lennon and Deulofeu with the money we got for him then im happy. That would leave our budget for a CB, No 10 and hopefully another striker.

I am, im giving everybody a clean slate this coming season, apart from certain players, who are instantly boss by default.
I'm with you - I think the thing he said about how we missed Pienaar (or more specifically, a Pienarr-type of player - I think that's what he said anyway) was on the Followtonians podcast. He said that he wanted somebody who could drop deep and link play as well as provide that guile up top. Eventually, Barks will probably drop deeper into a No.8 position, but for now I think he'll stay playing behind the striker, but if he has a creative player cutting inside from one of the flanks, less impetus is on Barks to be that creative force and he can focus on what he does best - e.g. counter attacks, drives forward.

I wouldn't mind it if McGeady stayed. I think he has his uses - like coming on with 20 minutes to go against teams who give us plenty of space down the flanks - as he can put in a good cross. But if a half decent offer comes in I think he'll be shown the door (esp. if it means not selling Kev or getting maybe Lennon in).
Player has been tweeting about Everton recently (@HenenDavid: my little brother .. futur great !!! everton https://t.co/zrwQbXlYCj), we have a good relationship with his agent and he was shortlisted for the academy player of the year.
Given that deal had some very shady overtones we could well just be trying to make it look a bit more above board by waiting until his loan officially ends.

THIS, he is so important to us. He/we had a crap season, we need to get over it and push on next season with him as our main man.
If he gets game time and we play flowing football, he will get a lot of goals and assists
His season was actually his best in an Evrton shirt. He was easily our best player up until January.
Wolfsburg away was actually my favourite moment from last season. We looked like we had really got into gear, then fell apart at Spurs three days later and never recovered until February!
