I can see Lennon dragging on till January or even next summer when he is cheaper or free. When Lennon signs, McGeady or Pienaar will leave. Still think we will sign a winger this window that isn't Lennon.

All my own guesswork, but it is my gut feeling.

Thing is we do actually have a player that has all the attributes 2 b a perfect no10, the only downfall is his selfishness! being played in that role he wouldnt disapear so much either being in the heart of the action + the extra responsability would prob help the lad!! alot of his selfishness is prob trying to show his worth rather then greed, getting swapped wk in wk out + never finishing a game anymore aint good 4 ur confidence, u give someone like that extra responsability and u get a different player, Only thing is has the ship already sailed with him!

I assume you are talking about Deulofeu and the answer is off course not.

We have Mirallas, McGeady & Deulofeu for right wing. Surely one of them would have to make way?

I hope Deulofeu is moved to the left permanently.

Mirallas is better cutting in from the left. McGeady out and Lennon in would be ideal really.

Martinez wasn't prepared to pay 7/8m for a 24 year old Cleverley who he has consistently praised/defended over several years. Instead he waited until he was out of contract and could be brought on a free.

Perhaps that was because we had no money after spending it on Lukaku but to spend 7m on an older Lennon but not on Cleverley would be a little out of character.

Agree with that, but if the lad leaves Juventus I reckon he is going to want to be guaranteed first team football.

......I think 'guarantee first team football' is a bit of a myth. Managers will inform players that they are in their plans, in some cases they might even say they are central to their plans but if any player fails to live up to expectation and performs poorly they get dropped.

If the links with the Juventus lad are true I don't think he will be given any guarantees.

Are you including Hibbert, Browning, Garbutt or Galloway in that list?

We are a CB, AM and ST short.

Given Hibbert, Barry, Osman, Pienaar and Kone are all going sooner rather then later, i'd be very surprised to see anyone of significance leave.
Without Europe you still need 23+ not including fringe players and a 3rd keeper.

We did try to loan him for the year but ManU chose to send him to Villa for the season for some reason.

I think last Summer that Bobby didn't think he needed him badly enough to buy him. We had McCarthy/Barry who'd just been fantastic all season and had just bought Besic to cover and we were making more than enough chances. Plus we'd just added Eto'o so things where looking surprisingly rosy. Who knew....

If I've missed someone really obvious then shout, but provide a link to a credible national or local paper rather than Twitter or some foreign source ( unless there's a consensus that said source is ultra reliable ). If the Echo are just regurgitating vague rumours, or look like they're clutching at straws, then consider them a jarg source.
