I'd be absolutely made up with Dann provided he's not too costly. Gets rave reviews, seems to be a bit of an unsung hero. Top attitude and as reliable as they come apparently.

Is this the very same liverpool season ticket holder relegated with birmingham and blackburn and now plays for a soon to be relegated crystal palace scott dann ?

8 million you say ?
Are they paying us that to have him ?
I don't see that Dann being a Liverpool supporter is anyway relevant. The only question to be asked of any player is what they bring that improves the squad.

Depends on price for me, same if we bring back Lennon. Both good experienced players who improve us. Shouldn't get fleeced though

Moyes tried to sign him twice and we all know he had an eye for a defender.

*waits for Koldrup comment*

I will put that in the box labeled lee wei feng/krodrup

8 million is scandalous for a kopite multiple failure imo.

There has to be better and better value out there. If not , id rather have 8 million in the bank , save on his wages , play barry there , or give pennington or galloway experience.

1.) In the past ten years most of our best players have come from poor/championship teams. Cahill, Baines, Jagielka, Lescott, Coleman etc

2.) The same Crystal Palace who finished above us that would be.

3.) Do you think he'd start scoring own goals every week because he was brought up a red? If so we might as well ring Andy Griffin or Danny Collins and see if they fancy a game.

Its not totally relevant , but it counts against him in my book.
Also its not if he improves the squad. Its wether he is the best we can get and value for money. Id say no on both counts.

Ive got no problems with championship players. But did any of those players you mention get relegated twice with different teams ?
I just think he is bang average for 8million.

Palace finished above us , but they didnt have european football to contend with.

Dann is a proven premier league player who would slot straight into our squad/team. Buying from outside the premier league might not work. He is a solid no frills defender something at times we lacked. Replace distin and alcaraz with him and one of youngsters would make since to me

I wouldn't be concerned/excited about Dann yet. Everyone at Palace seems to rate him very highly and I can't see them selling him for less than we'd be willing to pay.

If Dann rumours are true hopefully it isn't as a replacement for Stones. If interest is true could see the possibility Martinez plays 3 CB's. Could easily see us going (hope)

keeper
jags Stones Dann
Coleman Baines
cleverly McCarthy Besic
Barkley deulofeu
Rom

looks pretty decent that on paper, Barry, Naismith and Osman all add versatility and could easily slot in. Could do with another striker to add competition for Rom and a keeper, Mirallas and Deulofeu only played twice together when the spaniard was in loan so could see Mirallas being the player sold to fund all these moves.

Fair enough about the Liverpool bit.

I think the value for money depends on how much he costs..that is of course if he does sign.

He is from Liverpool so a move to Everton should not involve a settling in period. He is an experienced premiership defender and is probably just coming into the very best years of a centre halfs career. Playing at Everton would undoubtedly be a step up in his career and only time will tell how he would perform.

But, there seems to be a huge appetite for foreign players who have no experience of the pace of the Premiership, more foreign imports fail than succeed.

I actually quite like it strangely, the only local lad even close to their first team these days is Flanaggon, we have loads and might have one of theirs as well, could be fun, where's your scoucers gone!
