Covered as well? I'm not sure a perma crocked and sub-standard Patterson and an OAP who has played a full ninety twice since the start of last season (one of which was against league one opposition) is "well covered".

If we send Armstrong out on loan then with West Ham signing two CM I would bet Moyes pushes for Soucek as depth/rotation at 8/10. We would still need a 6 unless we put Garner there and develop him.

Garner himself said that was his original and preferred position.

This window I'd have had:

Gana/Iroegbunam - Pressing/tackling machines
Garner/Armstrong - Defensive midfield / deep playmaker

Thats one reason why I didnt understand the KDH signing as I expected one of these two positions to be added to with a 'potential star'.

But, if Moyes has KDH as an attacking option then perhaps the goal is to add another similar to him so he can use all 3 types?

Who cares what I've seen, I certainly hope the staff at the club saw him play there for Lyon.

They also saw Keane play and were happy to pay twice as much as they did for O’Brien.

I kno did that last season armstrong but looking at him mid week see him as a kdh being bit of box to box as has that quality that the ball sticks to his feet. And has that creativity about him. I think need a dm have said it alot of times not somebody who goes after the ball sits in between the cb. Looking at hackeny is a talent but again not a profile we need imo

I would argue that having two boss RBs would see us being more well covered than having two crocked sub-standard RBs, a midfielder and a centre half. By your logic if we had a flock of twenty sheep with RB spray painted on their fleece we'd be more well covered than if we had Cafu and Phillip Lahm.
