Different crew, Keane was Walsh era (I think - maybe Brands), O'Brien was Thelwell. He definitely wasn't bought as a RB.

I would argue that having two boss RBs would see us being more well covered than having two crocked sub-standard RBs, a midfielder and a centre half. By your logic if we had a flock of twenty sheep with RB spray painted on their fleece we'd be more well covered than if we had Cafu and Phillip Lahm.

15m in these terms amounts to 60-75m available on agreed fees actually assuming a 4-5 year contract.

Easily enough for a very good DM and RB and to cover several loans

If Arouna Kone of 2013 could be time warped to 2025 I would have nothing against him as an addition to our forward line. Unspectacular but useful.

No idea who is the closest present day counterpoint to Kone would be … but would probably cost a bit more than £6m in the current crazy inflated market.

Mate traffic kone , or his equivalent, would be an abysmal signing

Why someone or two get injured & he is there he will learn more from playing cameos & cup ties than wasting him out on loan to get kicked to bits!
Unless he goes to a team in Europe like Braithwaite did... we have a talent raw maybe sitting there save on wages etc ....

….don’t worry, he won’t be going to the Northern Prem, Joey. The lad played for Derby County last season and didn’t get ‘kicked to bits’.

I have no strong views about him going on loan or not, it might be case of Iroegbunam or Armstrong. I’d say Armstrong has the greater potential.
