Nothing he has shown playing for Everton suggests that Jake O'Brien is a better option as a centre back than Keane. He has looked just as raw as Barry does and I doubt he'd be a starting centre back for any team in the league.

We need to stop thinking he would do well as centre back because he does better as a full back than we expected.

When it comes to pure defending as full backs, Mykolenko is a lot better than O'Brian. That doesn't make Mykolenko a good centre back option.

Umm how many errors leading to goals did Jake have compared to Keane last season which Jake had zero and Keane had two also if you just use your eyes Jake is the superior defender as he is much more composed and positionly aware.

Even if he goes to Burnley, that doesn’t mean he has picked them ahead of us, who even knows if we have bid for him.

Madness that we still haven't addressed the RB situation, I'd have thought that a priority. As well as Jake O'Brien has done he's not a RB.

Still think we need a couple of players but it's very quiet on that front.

Playing well at right back and playing well at centre back are completely different. Jake has barely played for us at centre back and when he has done he hasn't looked that convincing to me. You are just making a massive assumption. Myko is a better player than Keane but I don't think he would be a better centre back than Keane. Playing centre back is a specialist position.

I agree. I saw some highlights of him and he seems like what we need. Good age (23) and looks strong enough for the premier league. TFG should be all over this deal as he is a Texan, too.
