We tried to sign Tete though. It indicates to me that the ideal plan at the start of the window was to sign a new RB. JOB would have been CB and RB cover. Now that's changed because of the way the window has gone and fitness issues.

Maybe Tete didnt come because we wanted him to switch to LW

Spurs now keen on Dibling, as per Romano....he did also list another handful of players, so hopefully he is wrong on the player I want.

When has he been right about Everton!

Equally Dibling is a completely different player from Maddison and Eze. Makes no sense in signing him.

I wouldn’t rule out Romano is bring used by Soton to get us back the table!

Soton have to sell to reinvest but will want it done asap…so they have time to spent it

Here's a late night teaser for the Xfer insomniacs. Just say Ake is a replacement for Branthwaite and we get say £80 million in for him and that allows you to get Dibling AND Fofana.

Yes yes yes and yes. Branthwaite cant help us when hes injured and he will NEVER be a natural right winger

We can only judge that on the 1st…ake makes the squad stronger. Dibling solves the right wing…a RB surely is on the cards.

I would love to see him here, but he would be competing with Branthwaite for the left sided CB spot, not sure how we could keep both of them happy. I know he can play LB, and does it well, but I think his preference is CB

100% agree, and I have said before that I would much rather Moyes has to choose who to leave out and than try to work out who to put in.

But if we sign Ake, he plays. If Ake plays, Branthwaite doesn't. I can't recall seeing either of them playing right sided CB, so unless we are planning a back 3, either one of them is sitting on the bench, or Ake plays LB.
