Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I wouldn’t use United as an example when it comes to PSR. It should be very evident that certain teams play by a very different set of rules
Generally your bang on, United shouldn't be an example of anything other than how to continously be dysfunctional.... However it was the perfect example as they announced it for him to join on July 1st.

I'd usually agree, but you look at the players they have got rid of or loaned out recently, and its obvious its the club thats the promblem

McTominay - won the league at Napoli
Antony - 9 goals 5 assists in 26 games at Betis
Rashford - 5 goals 6 assists in 17 games
Wan Bissaka- Hammer of the year
Dean Henderson - FA Cup win, now the 2nd best goalie in England
Anthony Elanga - excelled at Forest

The only one that didn't pull up trees was Sancho, but I'd say its hard to get a run of games in such a big squad

Thats half a team of good performances

I never mentioned Greenwood as they sold him as they had no other choice, it would of been a PR disaster

Largely agree with this but with the caveat that he was great at Atalanta, he looked the real deal. If it was just him playing poorly at United, then I'd swerve. But so many are underperforming which leans me towards the whole club being in disarray. Perhaps just too many square pegs in round holes, the result of a very disjointed transfer policy. Similar to us in lots of ways. Look how Lookman has thrived elsewhere, ironically at Atalanta.

Hojlund looked like he could be anything he wanted at Atalanta.

A loan with £40mil option would be superb if it was on the table.

I like the look of Harry Amass as well. Could push for a place at LB/LM with us.

If we have agreed a deal with a player to join, why can't we announce it and say that they will be joining on July 1st?

Apparently were not allowed to do this (according to some on here) who use the word "fraud"...despite others doing the same.

The difference is all those players showed good form at United, only in short infrequent spells, but they definitely all showed talent at some point. The likes of Holjund hasn’t showed any at all, and not even threatened to. I’m not Beto’s biggest fan but would keep him over the likes of Holjund and Zirkzee.

Of course you do

Really would like us to at least try for that Larsen who was on loan at Wolves. Mostly because he's proven his laurels in the league. He'd be a much better choice than Hojlund in my view.

That said, I'm not sure how Wolves' "option to buy" affects things?
Think it was an obligation after a number of games and has now been triggered so he's staying there.
