Yep, the problem is everyone wants every signing to be a gun signing, we are going through a massive turnover of playing staff this summer and some of the signings will be to allow us to tread water while we put a long term plan in placeThis is the first time in years I’ve not been slightly concerned.
We have owners with a vision and a plan.
We need new players to just be able to operate due to the volume of players that have left.
We will see some decent signings which nobody has yet linked us with, along with some decent loan additions and squad fillers.
Sit back and relax.

And how do you know this? We’ve announced the deal
He hasn’t signed yet.
He won’t until July either.
A Grealish loan would not cost us £350k per week. He's not getting that money anywhere else, so Man City will have to eat the majority. A 12 month loan deal would be circa £150pw, which would be a good bit of business to get a player of that calibre in. If it's a success, there's a negotiation option for a deal with City regarding transfer/salary - assuming he wants to come and will take a lower salary (which I'm sure he will).Hopefully we don`t sign some of your ideal list...
Walker 35, 160k per week
Stones 31 and injury prone 250k per week
Tagliafico 33 in August
Grealish I would have for a season on loan but would be good for 3 years if we can afford him, but I don`t think we can. He currently earns £350k per week!
Antonio Nusa, 20 and Barry, 22 both have very high potential... I would much rather get these young players with high potential, you could get 3 for the wages we would pay for Grealish or Walker. Plus we can make big profits when these guys get sold on, we don`t tet that with older players.
I’m not sure if you’re on the wind up or not..,And how do you know this?

Tagliafico - he's still Argentina's first choice left back. He's good enough and on a free from Lyon won't be seeking ridiculous wages. Offers needed competition with Mykolenko. He won't be after a payday at 32, he's looking for football and will be paid accordingly.
Walker, again won't be a £160k pw deal. Reports were that he'd agreed a wage of circa £50/60k with Milan should they have elected to keep him. City will pay him off to clear the salary from the books allowing him to join us for free (or a nominal fee as with Gareth Barry). I've come round on this one, if a 12-month deal for no transfer outlay and a sensible salary is available, it should be a "no-brainer" to coin a phrase. Experienced, free and despite reports to the contrary still capable. He's not going be able to get up and down the field and be the right side of City, as he could and did 5 years ago under Pep. But he shouldn't need to with the way we line up.
Financially sensible deals of this nature allow us to focus our spending this summer on positions of requirement - midfield, striker, right wing. All whilst improving the squad at three positions immediately.
I don`t think we are as close as some are making out, in fact I think we are in much better shape as of 1st July starting to look at next season. Being frugal for the last few years has got us to a position where we could make the biggest single step forward in recent decades. Then how could we afford Alcaraz?
Losses were down quite considerably from the previous year and this year they should be lower still.
That is the Everton way to "Tread Water", I have faith that the new owners and this committee can return better returns than just treading water.... we have a fairly solid base and fairly youthful squad left, it needs building the right way not throwing loads of mid 30 year old over the hill players on expensive wages at it.Yep, the problem is everyone wants every signing to be a gun signing, we are going through a massive turnover of playing staff this summer and some of the signings will be to allow us to tread water while we put a long term plan in place
Yes. £90m 2021-2022 season losses dropping off our PSR accounts.I don`t think we are as close as some are making out, in fact I think we are in much better shape as of 1st July starting to look at next season. I also think that our 1st season at HDS@BMD we will easily break through the £200m revenue barrier for the 1st time in our history...
* Massive savings on Interest repayment from refinancing by TFG, they have re-mortgaged an estimated c£300m-£400m whilst paying off the rest and Moshiri writing his debt off.
* Wages saved from Virginia, Begovic, Keane, Young, Coleman, Doucoure, Mangala, Gueye, DCL, Lindstrom, Harrison and Broja (As it stands) next season is c£792k per week, £41.2m across the season. I think we will see more players on £40k-£70k per week rather than the massive £100k plus wages we were paying DCL, Doucoure and Gueye, Harrison on £90k, Keane on £80k.....
* Increase in sponsorship revenue, you can only think will this will rise sharply with added stadium naming rights deal and any other new sponsors, I don`t think we`ve lost any major ones.
* Increase in Season ticket sales, 31k season ticket holders at Goodison, Premier League rules state that 80% of capacity is the maximum for season tickets which for BMD is 43k, even that increase conservatively is £7m.
* Increased match day revenue which is expected to be significant and then additional non matchday revenue.
Have I missed anything?
I agree, but with the caveat that there are some positions where gun signings are more important than others. A link like Tagliafico I can get on board with, a low cost addition who offers genuine competition/different options. A free transfer experienced centre half and keeper are no brainers. A signing like Walker i'm less keen on, I think it's a position we should be looking to strengthen in and the idea of just muddling along for about the 6th or 7th season running doesn't appeal to me at all. Same with some of the attacking positions. I'm fine with us padding out the squad as long as we also identify proper difference makers who take us forward in both the short and long term.Yep, the problem is everyone wants every signing to be a gun signing, we are going through a massive turnover of playing staff this summer and some of the signings will be to allow us to tread water while we put a long term plan in place
