Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

You're seeing what you want to see mate. I'm not disputing he's not as quick as he was 2 years ago or whatever, but the clip you've just used as evidence of that is anything but.

I’ve just watched a clip of him losing a 70-30 race in his favour and being beaten to a crap slow bobbling ball from THIS position. Let me know what you’ve watched.

Let me help you...

This one is more of an eye opener in terms of how he loses a pace battle and more recently albeit against one of the most powerful runners in the game currently.

The one you gave me was grasping straws.

Oh so when push comes to shove we actually agree that he’s a finished slug. That’ll do me.

I'd suggest the bit about his pace is being overplayed slightly. Yeah, he's not as quick as he was 2 years ago, but he's not suddenly about to get outrun by Dwight McNeil.

Our data guys wouldn't be signing off on the wages he'd cost if he was physically nowhere near it.
Dwight McNeil couldn't run past me and l"m 77 years of age.

Watch the ground he makes up in the seconds before that from his own positional error. That's the bit I'd be focusing on

So he makes up a bit of ground and then just decides to give up? Or was he totally gassed from those two really fast strides he made and thus didn’t have the energy to complete the sprint? I don’t know which one would be more concerning.

Well it’s certainly good that we have that option. Perhaps that’s even still the plan for next season given how well he showed there. If Walker is essentially Young’s replacement then he is fine to bring in.
He ain't coming here to be backup fullback to a giant centre half. If he moves it'll be with the world cup in mind. He'll be looking for a club that sees him as first choice.

He disgusts me in every way.

He looks finished at the top level.

Can Moyes wring every last iota out of him for one season?

Will be interesting to have Walker & Tagliafico sign and tick off the full back areas...

The interest being whether theres big money to bring in quality elsewhere.
