Not seen Abraham play this season really at Milan. Obviously his goal scoring record has gone dramatically downhill this year, but are there any extenuating circumstances or has he really just had a poor season?

Always thought he'd be a decent fit for us in the focal point-type striker we tend to like, but I'd have some questions about what's gone on this year.

Yeh, so, every window, I explained we WOULD make signings and, we did every window except the one highlighted above, for which I held my hand up. I was right 90% of the time. Same with the relegation bedwetters, some starting in August, like the transfer bedwetters who start in May - they are just wasting their collective energy stating ' we go with what we got' or 'we are defo down' - when 90% of the time it was wrong.

Just for a bit of balance mate...the club is a complete different since 2021.

There is nothing to suggest this 2 weeks into June this summer is going to be the same.

Literally every man and his dog at the club has said there will be a big recruitment drive this summer,just because it's not happening quick enough for peoples liking on here, doesn't mean it won't happen

Sorry mate, this smacks of people on here saying "it's not your money, why do you care?" and "I'm pretty sure a billionaire accountant knows more than you" when we were spending ourselves into oblivion under Moshiri and we've only really just recovered.

We've been burned by financial imprudence and I think everyone is right to have an eye on making sure we don't do the same thing again.

It's actually a complete downer having to be aware of these things, but modern rules make it the case that it's important.

I don’t completely disagree with you but we have a new stadium tripling our match day income and a naming rights deal that probably pays for a Sancho or Grealish wage on its own.

If we want to maximise the new stadium and actually take a step forward then we have to have a mix of buying prospects we can develop and taking good opportunities when they present themselves.

If we just stick to a pure model of buying young players like Chelsea we will be in a nightmare because 1) we won’t be able to get the top young talents 2) we wouldn’t have the experienced players to help them bed in and 3) the PL won’t do us any favours with the rules like other clubs

I don't disagree with anything you've said there. Think the only bit we are maybe not in agreement on is the fact that most of us, scarred by events of the previous 8 years or so, are going to be mindful of what sort of financial package we are giving players.

We've given out mad contracts to bang average players and have been stuck with them. Nobody wants that to happen again, so unfortunately we are in a situation where fans are scrutinising this sort of thing. If we are run well, it'll probably become less of a thing as we trust the people running the club again, but until that happens you're going to get this.

I still rock in the corner when I think about the wages we've handed out to the likes of Sandro, Sigurdsson, Doucoure, etc

The Delap deal glad we tried, but Chelsea with their sky high wages and CL football were always going to win, definitely thought he would have come to us otherwise. Yeah bit tired of all the name calling, if people feel the need to vent, then live and let live. Optimistic enough to buy a season ticket this year after years from giving one up. But to those complaining about not signing its only the chosen few fat Cats that seem to be able to do it atm, this is going to be our best chance of a total reset after years of mismanagement, hope to Hell we get it right because there is so much to do.
