He was one of those 10-15 million signings everyone wants to make before they are worth 30 million.

Unfortunately he signed him before he was worth £10-15 million.

Can't agree on "great" amigo.

However in my humble opinion he did well in very difficult financial circumstances.

He made some very good signings and some that haven't worked out.

He significantly reduced the wage bill , had a positive balance on player trading and we still maintained the same level of performance.

All in all , not to be sniffed at.

Interesting that no club bigger than Rangers were interested in his services.

See Leeds have bid €26m for Habib Diarra. Bargain at that price. He’s one of the players I really want us to get. It's galling when they go to teams like Chelsea, but we shouldn't be letting them go to clubs like Leeds without a fight.

Would be really disappointed if we've dropped our interest post Thelwell.

I wouldn't be that concerned about Leeds as we will finish above them.

Utterly ridiculous offering Coleman a new contract.

He will play more and offer more than the contracts we’ve given to people like Lonergan over the years. He’s probably took a cut and on a contract as an emergency defender while integrating into coaching.

Coleman in my opinion, a brilliant player in his time at Everton, should only stay on in a coaching capacity, similar to Baines.

I think that will be the intention but also to have him with the squad too in case of emergency.

Yeah I think he was ok.

And no, I don't consider Rangers to be a big club really. Yes they have considerable history and a large fan base but all in all they play in a farmers league and therefore can't be taken seriously.

Even I could manage Rangers and they would still come 2nd.
