Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I don't need the open heart surgery to the squad due to the a lot of the Moshiri deadwood gone and we have sorted a lot of PSR issues.

I don't see us spending £300m but I think we add 3 "big" buys and a few frees.
I read that as 'trees' first, and thought 'clever phrasing that', fresh wood to replace the deadwood
Then I noticed I was blind and couldn't see the wood from the trees

Bit disappointing not hearing about the OOC players today as promised.
Moyes has caught the 48hr bug
I think I would rather the club have everything sorted prior to making the announcement rather than announcing everything in dribs and drabs. The delay does make me wonder whether something has not gone to plan on the club's end.

There's a young lad at my League of Ireland home town club (Bray Wanderers) I'd love us to take a look at. Only 17 so can't actually sign him until next year due to brexit, but I'd be amazed if he's not playing in a European league in 12 months.

Only tiny but so quick and agile he's impossible to tackle. Part of the U17 Irish squad that just qualified for the U17 World Cup.

EDIT: Forgot to name him! Billy O'Neill

I am guessing that he's a winger? Could be a name to look out for. There always seems to be plenty of promising young players coming out of Ireland, yet many of them struggle to get opportunities.

Don't think that would affect anything tbh mate. I know what Moyes said but we were always probably going to find out later in the week. But, it would certainly be hard to care today 😞
If they had agreed to send it on to the media tonight at a certain time they absolutely would have pulled it .
Maybe it wasn't been announced but no way they would have after what happened.

Since the club have announced several departures, I believe that all remaining players who are due to be out of contract have been offered new deals on reduced terms. This includes — brace yourself — Mason Holgate.

We know that Doucoure was offered a deal and declined for a better offer. It’s likely the wage differences will mean nearly everyone declines, but that decision is probably behind the delay in hearing more.

On what basis is Holgate who has not played for two years getting a new deal.

All footy news not just this club prob been suspended by a day or two
