I agree and have said as much elsewhere, but there aren't many teams who win stuff without having a squad full of good technical players and there are good, and fairly self explanatory, reasons for that.

city packed their defense out with some a couple years ago and had rodri ahead of him, everyone else was their for their technical ability, or in Haaland’s case for goalscoring

having players like soucek or doucoure keeps you to a certain level

someone might argue forest but the likes of hudson odoi, gibbs white and elanga are alll pacey and skillful players

Same here we need a faster unit & two good defensve overlapping full backs plus pace in midfield Acalraz looks a positive player & back up with Beto .. plus a good squad which is younger ....

the side would improve so much even with just two full backs with technical ability and pace. would get so much more out of NDiaye and McNeil on the flanks, and Alcaraz with the kind of link up play he can provide

We need to improve on every position bar Pickford and Branthwaite and OBrien at cb, but I’d take this plus a new striker for now, and an alternative at RW

i think there are different ways to build a team and thinking about the City route is why teams fail. With Forest, they are a counter attacking team with a strong defensive foundation. We can be different as long as we have a plan and do it right

Jason Knight isn't premier league unfortunately. I thought he'd kick on when he broke into the Irish midfield but he's limited enough.

Gets through a shift but often rash and without end product.

He’d be a perfect Doucoure replacement, defensively he can drop into a three in midfield to make us more solid, whilst attacking wise he’d bring a lot more quality and technical ability.

Knowing us we’ll sign Soucek instead.
