Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Missed the release clause info. If we would get him for that it would be a good deal. I guess he will be in demand at that price. Can see Man City buying him back the same way that Barca bought Del and Villa resign philogene.
Not to play him but just to get a decent fee for them down the line.
Just can't see Delap agreeing to back to City to be 3rd choice striker and be used as a pawn for them to make money. He will want to push on rather than stagnate his career. Plus with Philogene he probably got mugged by his spoofer agent in that whole charade

Moyes won't want too many flair players. He wants to start by building a foundation much like he did before. We need a lot of players and can't spend a fortune. Think back to the squad that got 4th, lots of hard working players that knew their role, but with a core of quality players, Martyn, Yobo, Gravesen/Arteta, Cahill. Experienced ones like Stubbs, Weir & Kilbane. Bent worked his socks off up top.

After the last few years I would take an upper mid table season where europe is a possibility if we have a good run.

The new stadium will be a pressure to perform, we need players who can handle that. Let's not try and run before we can walk, if any fans should have learned that it's ours after the Mosiri years!

Hes quick, strong and doesnt mind throwing his weight around and putting himself about.

Aside from him they have little threat so he's probably working much harder on the pitch than forwards from more established clubs.

To me, it looks a deal where if he did well we could flip him for £60mil in a season. Based upon him getting in the England squad and scoring a decent number of goals.

These risks have to be taken if were going to step up.
He's got hutchison, philogene, clarke & enciso providing service for him.
Atleast 2 of them will be playing in the PL next season

Whats bobble saying?
That Moyes does want Soucek but there's debate over how much it would cost us. Saving grace might be that Soucek wants to stay in London. Moyes wants a big, box-crashing CAM. Doesn't see McNeil, Alcaraz or Ndiaye as a 10 and the recruitment teams know this. Moyes really rates DCL and isn't sure at all on Beto and Chermiti.

I Wouldn't normally say in that much detail what was said, but I find Moyes- approach worrying.

I wonder what W A R C H E S T Moyes has to play with this summer?

I am thinking it might be something like 50m net plus most of what's received from the sale of Jaz Branthwaite, so about 120m net. That'd probably push us up to a mid-table squad, but I really hope he isn't sold and TFG have wangled the PSR so that there's a lot more that can be spent.

I am hoping Mangy is able to resume full training over the summer and we can go in with another low-cost loan to fill out the squad and use the money elsewhere, for example both wings and both full back positions, not forgetting at least one quality striker. Mangala and Richarlison loans would be the dream for me, especially Richarlison if we're tight on PSR and can put like 5m down on a loan and a further 20m in the next three years' accounts or something.

The money will be greater.

And in fairness, we have already shown top half form for half the season mate.

Possibly a bit early to go all wobbly about the transfer situation, when the window is not even open and all we have is click bait speculation.

Keep your powder dry and trust the process. TFG are no mugs and we have to expect improvement on the current squad. It may not go from the Morris Minor squad to full Ferrari in one window - in fact, it won’t.

This is no place for rationale thought and patience, I’m going to need to see wild speculation, you tube videos of players nobody’s ever heard of followed by tears when he goes to another club!

The more i see of Ndiaye the less I see him as a 10 and more as an inverted forward. The best version of DCL is still our best striker. The problem is that the best version of DCL is something we haven't seen for a while and only really seen for a 1-2 year period in his entire career. A box crashing CAM isn't a bad thing but it will require 2 new attacking fullbacks, a creative CM, another winger etc.

That’s Moyes in a nutshell isn’t it 🙄 good short term appointment to get us to the end of the season granted, any longer and it’s a terrible appointment. After the initial release from “Dycheball” and playing better stuff, it’s slowly but surely reverting to type and we’re again struggling to create or score goals. Is he better than Dyche? Yes he is no doubt about it, but they’re very similar in their approach. Moyes is Dyche in a brand new fancy wrapper. So bored of it all and the fact he want a 30 year old clogger who is visibly on the decline says everything about him and what we can expect this summer if he’s in charge of transfers.

Not very exciting is it? We will be playing in a brand new stadium under brand new wealthy owners, it’s the perfect opportunity for a full reset. A new young manager who wants to play attractive, attacking football and wants to sign young attacking players with blistering pace would have everyone buzzing for the summer, and the new season in August. As it stands, it’s all a bit “meh” isn’t it?

You’re right of course, and the proof of the pudding and all that, but there are already a few red flags for me. Bobble doesn’t make stuff up does he, if says Moyes wants Soucek then he wants Soucek. That is the kind of recruitment I just can’t get behind. It’s like Groundhog Day.

My only problem with Soucek is that Moyes seems to think he is buying the Soucek from 1-2 years ago, and not the one that Potter (the bloke who has been training him week in week out for the last year) want to move on because he thinks that Soucek’s legs/energy has gone.
