Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Also, mate, looks like I was right. Watched the match reaction for A View to from the Bullens and they said that Moyes is really unsure on Alcaraz. He wants a Soucek, Doucoure type CAM.

I'm worried from what they are saying that he won't be signed. We may still try, but if we have limited budget and Moyes doesn't like him in the no 10 . . .
I think it’s more condemning of the players we have in midfield to be honest. Doucoure is athletic and tackles, which should help the midfield out (I say should as he is poor on the ball putting them back under pressure). Our midfield is not strong enough as a unit and not good enough on the ball meaning that he doesn’t want to take doucoure out.

He has been forcing Alcaraz in on the left side prior to Ndiaye returning, and I expect us to sign him, but I also expect that by doing so, Moyes also goes for a stronger/bettter midfielder than what we currently have.

I imagine that these things are communicated through recruitment teams through to club officials, agents, entourages, third parties, clubs etc.

Moyes won't just have it silently in his head what he wants to do - he will have to communicate it. Football is an extremely complex business these days and word will escape. Particularly given how much we need to do this summer - we'll be putting out the feelers.

Bobble has shown that he has good contacts. No reason to doubt.
Yet no one had any murmur at all about the initial signing of Alcaraz.
Bobble hears stuff . But I wouldn't ne taking his word as gospel on everything. He will admit that himself.

….still think most of our business will be in respect of players not even considered on here in the last few months. Seems a bit of momentum on this one in recent days, I’ve never heard of him before which I like:

Everton have spoken to the representatives of Freiburg's 22-year-old Germany midfielder Merlin Rohl over a potential move. (Kicker - in German)
We had 2 bids rejected in January. He may even have had his own thread!

If we could get any current prem player id want Jarod Bowen. Very underrated and always gives 100% although his Father In Law would kick off if he left the 'ammers

I think we need to bin off this idea of signing current premier league players. Their existing teams want way too much for them in transfer fees and they will want massive wages. He is on £150k a week there.

Bowen is contracted till 2030, realistically he is only going to leave West Ham for a Champions League club and West Ham will want upwards of £80m for him
