Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

So difficult to pick out players from the championship as they are not generally surrounded by a lot of talent. But if I can pick a couple out it's Hackney and Doak at Boro Rigg and Hume at Sunderland also the french center half at Burnley Esteve looks good. I still think gnomto at Leeds is capable if Farke would give him a opportunity. Also i qualify this by looking at some of the players they play with example jonjo shelvey at Burnley. If we were to go for one it would be Doak I would like. I know he is at LFC but remember we got Sheedy from them.

Not sure if we've actually been linked with Hackney, but I think he's the best Championship prospect I've seen in a good while.

Doak is also clearly a huge talent but can't see out neighbours doing us a deal on him.

Will be a similar formula this summer I'd imagine. New stadium will help in the pitch but ultimately finishing 16th or 17th as could still happen isn't going to get top level players queuing to sign just yet.

Ideally you find another two Ndiaye types for full back and midfield. Guys who out of favour for one reason or another at top level clubs but still at good age and top level experience. Could add O'Brien as he was clearly at a level to play more in August-September but Dyche in his wisdom spectacularly ballsed that up.

The key this summer is Doucs, DCL, Keane, Holgate and Young all going. Huge amount of wages off the books so good flexibility to target younger players who won't command as much but can grow into excellent long term prospects.

Will be an experienced player in the mix. Inevitably Barkley will be linked. Done well for Villa when he's played but hasn't featured since Jan 11th which hints at the cons of getting him back.
Just no thanks.

People think sign means pay money for.

It doesnt.

This is what our squad looks like, currently, on the 1st July.

Goalkeepers
Jordan Pickford (HG)

Right Backs
Nathan Patterson

Left Backs
Vitaliy Mykolenko

Centre Backs
Jarrad Branthwaite (HG)
James Tarkowski (HG)
Jake O'Brien

Midfield
James Garner (HG)
Tim Iroegbunam (UA)
Iliman Ndiaye (HG)

Wide Forwards
Dwight McNeil (HG)

Strikers
Youssef Chermiti (UA)
Beto

Total players: 12

If people think we arent going to SIGN 12 new players, then ive got a bridge to sell them.

For avoidance of doubt, if Gana was to sign a new contract, I consider that 1 of the 12 new players we need.

People see the word sign and thinks its mean something different.
Everton has the option to extend the second choice keeper for another season.

What do you make of him? Seeing Soucek type play like me?

That article is weird, saying hes rated at €12mil but could move for €25mil.

Looks like he can play CM and also in the Doucoure role, just like Alcaraz.
He has some talent but, for balance. His stats are poor imo.

Sunderland have loads of good ones, Brighton just signed one of them who's played less than 20 games.

Jobe Bellingham not as good as his brother (obviously) but will play in the premier league eventually. That said have Tim for the development CM role, he just needs to stay fit.

Isidor looks an interesting striker. After a slow start he is fairly prolific at championship level so getting him in and sending Chermiti on season long loan to get him minutes might be an idea.

Im not sure that is the case.

I suspect this has been lost in translation.

In Janauary, Joao Virginia spoke to A Bola about his future with the Toffees.

“It’s not the ideal situation. Of course I want to play. And the more you play, the better,” he said.

These are my last six months, but the club has an option to renew. He has already talked about renewing beyond this year, but nothing has come of it, nothing has been concrete. And I’m still alone with my last months.

“I can’t take anything definitively, there is an option for Everton to be activated until the end of the season. Until then I can’t decide anything. And I feel very comfortable at Everton, I like being here, I like being in the Premier League.”

I know its not gospel, but even Evertons website says his contract expires in June.

I suspect when he talks about an option to renew, he means to offer him a new contract, given his age when we signed him we are entitled to compensation if we offer him a contract and he goes elsewhere.

Where would you see him playing?

Do you agree that he looks like Soucek?

Im not particularly bothered about this one...

Missed alot of Germany u21 games.

Outside of one or two like Musiala, I dont see any young-ish German players in the full or u21 international groupa who look particularly wow.

Finn Jeltsch looks the exception...

Why?
Also, mate, looks like I was right. Watched the match reaction for A View to from the Bullens and they said that Moyes is really unsure on Alcaraz. He wants a Soucek, Doucoure type CAM.

I'm worried from what they are saying that he won't be signed. We may still try, but if we have limited budget and Moyes doesn't like him in the no 10 . . .

Those stats are not good at all. As I posted, not seeing young German talent outside of Musiala and the young CB i mentioned.

This chap reckons Rohl makes more sense as a 6.

Merlin Röhl is an interesting profile. 6’4” CM who plays as a box crashing 8, with close control for his height, decent final ball.

But Röhl’s composure on the ball, line breaking passes and physicality to use his body to win the ball screams that he should be converted to a #6. pic.twitter.com/gzeQCRQJY7

5 loans

Mangala
Broja
Harrison
Lindstrom
Alcaraz

OOC

Cal-Lewin
Gana
Doucoure
Young
Keane
Virginia
Begovic

Imagine these twelve get signed again for next season. All new signings, we go again with what we have. Good times FC.

Everton make approach for Feyenoord defender David Hancko

According to journalist Santi Auona on X, Everton have made an approach to sign Feyenoord defender David Hancko, who is also attracting interest from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen and Serie A giants Juventus ahead of the summer.

But shocked on that tbh ofc i would like both types as do feel we need some height power ect. But o do feel is a player in alcaraz and can play in the 10 and does have the work rate
