Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

But how has it passed the PL PSR? No way it should.... Womens team is deductable, that is widely known.
Expenses are deductible but there are no provisions on what the club is allowed to earn and how.

Basically it works like this: you look at the losses the club made from their financial report. And only after that do you deduct things like infrastructure costs from that.

What I don`t get on this issue, and I`ve heard nobody mention it either.... For PSR calculations things like Infrastructure and the Womens Team amongst other things are deducted from your annual accounts to make up PSR for the year, so how come Chelsea sell their womens team and that is allowed in the calculation?

All the costs associated to the womens team all fell outside PSR.... I don`t get it, clearly very dodgy and I think UEFA have already fined them for their rule breach on these accounts.

Nothing dodgy about it at all, they done everything within the rules, it’s what happens when you employ the best of the best in their roles. The only negative for Chelsea is if the women’s game manages to reach men’s levels in the next 30 years they will lose out.

Would be a good signing. I wanted us to sign him a couple of years ago. He's more of a RB than a LB though.

1 goal and 7 asssists last season. His general stats for the last season are impressive too:

I get were you are coming from.
But our best attribute is our defence, its top 4 level.
I dont think Mykolenko needs replacing (yet), an attacking right back...fair enough, but if you want a rapid right winger......whos defending down the right?
I see that angle too. And I appreciate that times have moved on, however…

But when we had Coleman & mirallas. Baines & pienaar. Who was defending down the left/right?

to used our most loved neighbours: salah & TAA - who’s defending down their right? (And I don’t want someone as useless going backwards as TAA btw).

Good quality fullbacks can attack and defend. We have a fullback that can defend, Coleman who is injured and Patterson who seemingly can’t do either to the managers standards. Rapid wingers can attack and get back (quickly).

And tbf I haven’t got any names - they might not exist at our price range lol. But all I do know is that in every other position (and Myko to be fair) we are at least competent.

Usually defensive midfielders drop back to cover space on the side of the attack. It does require a pretty athletic player, as much as I love Gueye, he may not have the legs to do it for a full game. Though we needed a CM anyway

So in this instance who are you actually negotiating with?
I assume still primarily Sporting as they hold his registration but it’s messy.

I’d also assume Sporting will try to reach a settlement on it with the other club to buy it out on the basis that for 25% it’s simply not worth Sporting selling. In which case previous club get nothing, and I imagine they want some sort of payday out of it.

You would think that the amount of players that week need through the door come the start of the season, we should have seen some movement now or very soon 🤔

Or shall I just go and change the sheets 🤔
