  • James Smith, director of scouting
Everything points to an ambitious team with a record of finding quality talent for real value, both as players for the club and as future sales. They were unlikely to make moves during the first short window, especially while still assembling the team that would make things happen, but this leadership team should inspire some confidence. I think the only position left is football operations.

Does James smith know that our scouting budget only extends to Wigan and Bolton?
 
On the Germany-Solvenia u21 game again....quite liking the look of this ginger centre half for Slovenia and a quick Google shows he belongs to our cousins Roma. 19yrs old, this is the kind of youth recruitment we can hopefully work towards instead of bringing though absolute haddies to sell to Northampton Town or wherever it is these boys end up

He might have off the field trouble but so did:
Ferguson, Rooney, Gibson to name the high profiled ones so god knows what the other players did.

20 years old with plenty to learn and mistakes to correct.
