Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Yes but plays in Spain so assume he speaks some Spanish especially as being French I'd suppose he'd know some before moving to Spain.

Yes my 'joke' was that as he's in Spain he replaces Harrison as a spanish speaker and new 'friend' to Alcaraz :p

Thanks for the translation. I think it would all become the same fee as Delap due to less wages being paid which balances the £3.5mil additional fee.

Clearly he's no £33.5mil player. However, who else could Everton bring in of similar profile (age, experience, ability, potential) for a similar fee and wages?

Check the power in his shots outside of the box on youtube and movement + composure finishing.

Also for a 6'5 centre forward his heading looks lethal. Him, Branthwaite and O'Brien in the opposition box would give us a big height advantage.

Looks like he has the tools to work with and is on an upward trajectory.

France u21 national team player.

Jep, it's a bit of a problem. Young and cheap CF are hard to find atm.

Unless we are selling Beto, I hope it would not be a like for like signing if we brought in Barry. Moyes does have a habit of trying things so maybe he can play some hybrid positions and the two could coexist in some games. The more good attacking players we have the better but you want to have more versatility so that everyone can actually justify game time.

Just watched a highlights reel and can see what you mean as in similar to Beto. Obviously 6 years younger but I'd be quite surprised if we go for a real like for like player than Beto.

Looks very good in the air though and really really rapid.

If he's similar to Beto then perhaps thats a good thing seeing as Beto has had so many chances and scored a decent amount as well.

Perhaps someone similar but 6 years younger and quicker and with alot to work with...is the way to go?

Clearly theres no way he's worth £33.5mil.

However, if he's 'worth' e.g £25mil and scores 12 goals for us next season, he's probably going to be valued at over £33.5mil.

Can he score 12goals for us next season? Based on nothing but stats and youtube, probably lol

He can. In Basel he got sent off his first 2 games, one in CL qualification then in league, and missed the barn door in his first half season. In Villarreal he quickly found his form.

It's the most important transfer windows that lays a lot for the next few years, the first we have some money around, but not limitless and we shouldn't spend it headlessly, so a no from me for that price.

The profile of the player, scores goals 'everywhere' https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thierno_Barry_(footballer,_born_2002)

French u21 player

6'5 and 22 years old.

Good movement, quick, strong shot and heading...

The profile alone looks very good. I think this could be a good player to compete with Beto. I'd hope that there's 25+ goals next season between them.
