Definately can get a decent cb for thst money wouldnt need be stones.

They're out there. Just don't trust our ability to scout them, nor our attractiveness to convince them to come here tbh.

Sound like Branners is going then. Guess that's why we're seeing the Stones stuff. Club might be in panic mode. Going to be very difficult for us to get a CB anywhere near as good.

I think given what Moyes sold the likes of Rice for and we don’t need the money, I’d be hugely disappointed with anything under £80m

He’s one of the clubs biggest sellable assets

And, we would struggle to find a player as good in his position who would come here. So nowt wrong with that assessment either.

Where has Paul Joyce said that Branthwaite is going for £60m if you don’t mind me asking? I remember you were adamant last summer that he would be sold for £50m too.

Haven’t followed his time at Villa at all, and seems weird that there’s talk of a move less than a year into his time there.

They won’t make a profit on him, two teams can’t be duped into signing him for big money.

Well we still need to raise funds before the end of June to meet FFP for the past year. We're either selling Branthwaite or doing a Chelsea and selling something to ourselves.
Maybe in July we'll have a bit of money to spend

Not a chance anyone pays close to £80m for him, we’d struggle for that even if he made the England squad.
Only Chelsea speed to be interested and I cant see them paying it.
