Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

More than anything I am surprised by the age profile of the players we have signed this summer.
Anzou and Dibling are just 19. Barry, Dibling, Alcaraz and possibly now Rohl as well all 23 or under.

I thought David Moyes would go for more experienced, older players but it looks as if we are trying to build a team for the future as well as the present.
Because all the old fossils Moyes was trying to buy didn’t want to come

Could've fooled me! :coffee:

You can laugh all you want but reading your posts it’s obvious you don’t learn from the past even after everything that has happened at this club and this dismissive attitude of yours solidifies it.

Call it crying all you like, it’s ignorant of you.

Earl Barrett was a specialist RB. Sidibe was. Nathan Patterson is a specialist RB.

I’d rather we waited and signed the next Coleman.

Or we could plug the hole with a loan player (like various Prem sides have).

Sidibe was actually passable, and a player like him, instead of having to waste Garner there would have been preferable surely.

I thought we might of gotten one or Romas rbs. We will also be sweating if Barry or beto gets injured dont think 2 strikers is enough. I guess we can still go for free agents.

Especially as we dont have a replacement for garner in midfield...

A plug wouldn’t be a priority for me. And again that’s on the assumption that someone was available (to us).

My German mate, who himself actually played at Hamburg until he was 18 and knows a lot about German football and is mates with Vitally Janelt at Brentford, says Röhl is very talented but isn't physically there to be a star in the Bundesliga at the moment so will certainly need time to adjust to the Premier League. Give him patience and he should develop into a good player.
