If something is happening here 'live' it's just happening 'there; at a different time (later) of their day. It's not happening in the past or the future. It doesn't mean they are seeing it before we are, they are just seeing it later in their day.

Someone said they knew the score yesterday 1 hour before their mates (who were actually at the match) because the time is 1 hour ahead where they are. By that logic, they would have started watching the match 1 hour after it started and would have missed our 3 goals... (or they would have never happened...)

The match is happening where we are. The time of day is irrelevant. It's impossible to know the outcome before the end of the match if it hasn't happened yet simply because your 'time' is 7 hours (or whatever) ahead of where the match is taking place.

And you can't watch it any earlier than it's happening. At 3pm 'your time' it doesn't kick off for another 7 hours if the match is played here...
