Add Suarez to this side and a good DM and when we get Branthwaite back we actually have a team that should be aiming as high as fifth.

Only standout teams are the noisy neighbours, arsenal and city - Chelsea without Palmer are relying on badly dodgy refs, spurs - look like typical spurs, Newcastle losing isaak is huge, villa are being wrecked by PSR constraints, united are a train wreck. Forest have strengthened but got a mess with their owners and manager - rumours Ange is the one lined up to replace him which could screw them over as he's a loon.

Nobody else so far looks to be looking that good.

Bournemouth still playing some good stuff under Iraola.

Overall the transfer window has been decent but it cannot be seen as perfect without a true RB and DM. If we sell Chermiti add a third striker option to that need (unless Moyes thinks the young Irish kid can make another big leap quickly through u21s to seniors).

It is possible to acknowledge the positives whilst also seeing the gaps. This binary universe of either thinking something is rubbish or something is great with nothing in between is a bit infantile; jump for joy or throw a tantrum I prefer the nuanced space in between.
