I’m putting my Everton pessimist hat on and saying no more ins to avoid disappointment come Monday.

Good strategy, I've found my natural Everton pessimism has worked well this summer and things have turned out ok, so far.

I'm sort of defaulting to expecting no more signings in the hope that I will be proven wrong and pleasantly surprised, again.

If they have the resources then I don't think it will be for the lack of trying. One would be good, two would be great and three, well, let's not get too greedy.

As incredible a job as the club have done all over the pitch I refuse to accept that in the past 2.5 months they’ve been unable to bring in a right back that improves us.

Another number 6, winger/forward are nice to haves and if the window shut without them I’d feel we’d missed an opportunity but to not have signed a right back is absolutely criminal

….to me, Moyes seemed genuine about trying to bring in a ‘couple more’ ahead of to morrow’s deadline before adding the usual ‘if not we go with those that have been doing so well’ in his post-match interview.

Hopefully a busy couple of days, it won’t be for the lack of trying.

I think the DM is desperately needed. Their goal yesterday when Keane was out wide left and Myko higher up shows why we desperately need one.

A real DM would have covered the space left by Myko so Keane doesn’t get pulled out.
