Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Monday night against Leeds it was evident that a right side winger is essential. I think it would be very unrealistic to expect dibling to play every game but as I stated in the last post that's further down the list
I wouldn’t draw any conclusions from that performance.

We won't know that till he plays there.
Yeah , obviously.
But conversationally, from my observation, I don’t think he is good enough.
My preference for a lower division signing would be Hackney , different position but a far more intelligent and skilful player at that level.

What’s happened there? Fell out with the manager or something?

Seems like only a few months ago they were hyping him as the next big thing.
Amorim is very particular about who suits his system and who doesn't, he wants physical players with positional awareness/tactical malleability (I.e. follow strict instructions). Mount for instance is his wet dream, but this kid isn't - I think because he is less dynamic and positionally aware, bit more of an instinctive midfielder who wants to drift about the shop and not much of a tenacious presser off the ball

Would love us to sign him, but he's not really the profile we need perhaps for the same reason Amorim doesn't want him (pace and power)

Still irks me we never got William Carvalho. Such a classy player back in the day.
Hated him and was worried every time I saw his named linked with us.

Remember him being touted as a huge star of the future and I just saw a big plodder.

I still think I was right
