Don't get the hype around Charly. I like his jib but needs more pace whether its 10 or wing, needs to cover more ground. Not sure Moyes is convinced by him.
Definitely need new winger (who preferably can also play 10)

He’s definitely not a winger but he easily has enough pace to play 8 or 10. One of the only players we’ve had in years that is comfortable travelling at pace with the ball.

Well yes, very very few players through the middle who can do this. And 10 yrs ago I'd completely agree. Just think now the thing that's really going to turn it is a 10 with proper pace-control. I'd keep searching.
 
I think it has a lot to do with his price. About 12 million for a 22-year who looks to be the part in the PL is not much. Clubs pay double that for absolute cloggers. At the very least he'll be a good rotation player but he has the tools to be better than that. I don't personally also quite see the hype yet but on the other hand he hasn't started that many matches for us yet.

At worst he's shown he can chip in with goals and far mobility in central midfield.

Also lowers the average age down in midfield given Doucs will likely go this summer and then Gana next year.

To me it's a no brainer.

They paid £5m for him last summer. He’s just had a season where he’s scored and assisted double figures for both. Still 3 years on his contract. No way they sell him for £7-8m
 
Need both imo still think kwp at southampton a free for rb would be perfect. Need somebody to really fight myko at lb to start.

Wages would have taken him when leicester went down but has found it hard as the lone cf. his pace has gone now

Hard really say because hasnt really had a run of games in the 10 position, moyes did play him in cm deeper one game aswell.
