Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Such a beautiful rumour for the conspiracy theorists, take your pick :

- Branthwaite injury worse than first thought
- Branthwaite being sold before deadline day
- Aznou nowhere near ready for Premier League
- Aznou injury worst than first thought
- Moyes simply can’t refuse a player with that sweet, sweet Premier league experience

When you look at the prospect of having either James Garner at LB or Michael Keane at CB for a prolonged period of time, it's hard to turn your nose up at a deal for Ake.

If it's Ake + Dibling + no.6 + RB then awesome.
But if it's Ake + <2/3 of the priority positions addressed then it'll go down as a super weird one
Reckon another RW too if any budget left.

don't sign that lad who's won more in a year than our whole team... we literally have myko left back and keane as a back up centre half.... he would be an unreal addition.

Hes a hipsters favourite and a poor defender imo. Alwasy felt like he was a player we were all told was good rather then actually being good.

The defence he was in charge of at Bournemouth conceded 70+ goals a season.

Hes good on the ball and thats why he's "worked" at city because they dont defend that much but when he has too hes not very good at it imo.

Hes always been a squad option for city never the main cb and as for trophies, scott carson has more trophies then our whole team. Means nothing at city

Didn't realise he's 30! It's a perplexing move. Loan or permanent we reckon?

Looks like it means get used to O'Brien at RB this season. Which means we've GOT to get some pace width on the right ahead of him or the team is very lob sided as it was at Leeds

Shrewd signing Ake as branthwaite is getting injured far too often and myko is the only workable left back choice.

If we get Ake, then loan out aznou for a season.
Maybe offer Harrison Armstrong to Southampton to get the dibbling fee lower.?
Yep. I like all of those options. That’s getting creative. I’d love to see Armstrong start, but we’re good in midfield. We’d get good money for him.

I am going on a risk, and I am guessing it’s none of the above. Hamstrings aren’t that bad and he didn’t seem to really do anything to bad to be long term. I think he has got this one wrong.
