Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Listening to the podcast from Bobble.

Transfer Committee can not agree the way forward on targets and how to spend the money we have left. Also can not agree if they want youth or experience.

They both seem pretty positive normally but worry setting in.

This is what I have been thinking. We seem to be paralysed going forward. Kinnear now needs to make the decisions. He is the CEO and now needs to lead.

Might be true, might not be. Let's assume it is. Interesting that open discussion of such dissent is only emerging now after the mole was publicly upbraided...

They should have a vote, hopefully there is an odd number on the committee or we really are screwed.

We should have the 'Dibling money" yet to spend so that should be one more in.

If that deal has been done or we had otherwise addressed RW, then people would have been a lot happier now.

It always seemed apparent that we would be dependent on loans to beef up the numbers.

We do need an additional 4. I'd still expect one big signing by our standards and then it's a. case of trying to strike lucky with loans. With a reduced risk though I'd still like us to ensure we have cover/options and use loans for it.

Moyes likes to operate his way and doesn't seem to prefer a collaborative process going from history

Big “someone’s not making it through the season” vibes from that. Maybe not even to January.

Are the disagreements to do with knowing that Moyes is more likely to want / support buying experienced players, or what the other committee members want to do anyway?

The 4/5 clubs I mentioned earlier for starters..

They don’t, though.

Burnley have already added a lot of players. For what they are their squad is fine.

Brentford seem to have an ok squad to me. Would love their collection of full backs.

West Ham put out a much better team than we did at the weekend.

Wolves for what they are need one or two more. They have a better striker than us, better midfields and better fullbacks.

Do any of these teams have no right back, and no right midfielder to speak of?

Out of all the premier league teams we’re the ones with the most to do by a distance.
