Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Would be a brilliant statement to get both.

Would be looking at another £100M for that though.

Perhaps if there was an outgoing to take the edge off it. But the squad isn’t big enough as it is.

Patto and perhaps Tim?
Have never really worked Tim out to know where he plays, what he does, or if he is any good at it.
I’m sure they would get us back £20M-25M, but then we’ve been tried to offload Patto for many windows and haven’t had a single nibble.

If we got both Rigg & Dibling then the signing of KDH would make perfect sense to me.

We'd have LCM: KDH/Rigg & RCM: Garner/Armstrong.

Would give the younger players time to develop while also providing the right amount of guidance and experience as rotation.

Then we drop in an ageing Gana who we could use sparingly over the season.

Totally logical and exactly the approach I was calling for pre-window opening.

With Dibling, a little different in that I'd just want him at RW and hadnt thought beyond him (and Rigg) being future England players. Their values would increase exponentially while being key players in future during the rebuilding process.

A bit like Aznou and Barry, i wouldnt expect them to be game changers on day one. But out first 11 is good enough for top 12. The high potential players could push us as far as 8th with positive game time rotating.

If we get Dibling and Riggs then Armstrong doesn’t get a look in, and Garner will be back up at CM and RB.

How would that be?
Because Riggs out of position is better than Garner, unless Garner’s role is again to merely support the RB. In which case we should have spent £10M-15M on a competent RB.

We aren’t spending £40M-£50M on a player that improves us, to then sit him in the bench. Moyes will fit him into the team somehow.

In the future mayhe but is a massive jump to the prem

What’s our budget for the remaining 5-6 players? Not sure we’d want to blow that much on 2 untested kids

Ladies and gentlemen it’s been 25 minutes between posts on this, the transfer thread of grand old team dot com.

Absolutely staggering.
Haha think its a good thing personally mate. For the sake of sanity, regular breaks from this thread are probably wise!
Although I'm sure you'll disagree you bad, bad man

I’d like Garner to be given a run there. He’sa good player, for many reasons, hasn’t been able to show it yet. 6 is his position
Not a fan of garner, id sell him. He’s had 3 years at Everton and not really shown anything to suggest he’s good enough to take us forward. We’re a club on the up we can’t wait around for anyone

Hopefully he’ll prove you wrong mate. Personally I think it’s too early to judge players over the last couple of years. It’s been a circus from top to bottom in the club. As in some significant injuries, and it’s obvious that he wouldn’t have played to his potential. I think all players should be given time to prove themselves given the new stability.

On the up ? He's help keep us up, he's still young enough to improve. No clue where the obsession with "apparently" how bad he is stems from. Solid, young pro. Some of our fanbase are deluded, properly deluded.
